  1. I think i may have made the biggest mistake ever buying a new Mutoh

Oooohhh I forgot about Bubble n' Squeak! Best. Food. Ever.
  2. General Formulations...

I'm very happy with WallMark, Motomark, HTAP series (consistent prints, easy to weed, easy to install). I haven't tried the AutoMark series yet, but definitely will!
  3. Hard time getting vinyl over to transfer paper

Yeah, the AirMask is perfect for frost/etch film.
  4. Hard time getting vinyl over to transfer paper

Yeah, the clear transfer films aren't as aggressive as their paper counterparts. I sometimes use high tack clear, and it's comparable to a medium tack paper tape. Of course, it also depends on what type of vinyl you're cutting (some are more aggressive than others). Whenever I need the extra...
  5. vinyl residue remover

Super high concentrate citrus cleaner (92% concentrate in aerosol form -- if you can find it!) + plastic razor. Works on everything, and it's about half the cost of Rapid Remover.
  6. Does anyone use this style of rotary trimmer?

Same here. :) I still use the table top rotary for small stuff, but the Fotoba is sooooooooooo handy!
  7. Looking for Website Design & Cost

In addition to my sign business of 21 years, I have a development and hosting company (maintaining 400 websites across 11 dedicated servers for 180 clients). I've used many different CMSs over the years (since 2005). Wordpress has been the easiest to work with all around (for development and...
  8. Frosted/Etched Film + Application Tape Combo

7725 and the MacTac are both pretty good. As far as production goes -- The best trick I found is to digitally print the areas I'm going to weed. I also print the Trim-o-Matic marks for my Fotoba, and I use TransferRite AirMask 510U for the application tape (which is plenty aggressive, and it...
  9. Font ID Help Please

The trick was to search for heart ligatures in wedding fonts. I noticed the right side of the heart was a little higher than the left, and most others were the opposite. Just a matter of narrowing it down and scrolling through previews and confirming with the capital "S".
  10. Font ID Help Please

  12. This partial trailer wrap could be a little challenging

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I got approved to use the ACM panel method. (should be fun. lol) Cheers!
  13. This partial trailer wrap could be a little challenging

Oh nice job! That does look like a lot of work!
  14. This partial trailer wrap could be a little challenging

My customer is getting her trailer painted teal, and wants me to add print/cut wrap graphics to the sides. Okay, it sounded pretty straightforward -- until I saw the trailer photos. Yek! This looks like a PITA install. (I think these channels are too deep for a Primer 94 scenario). The...
  15. Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh!! I even looked on LHF and didn't see it (quick scan through) Good call!
  16. Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

  17. printing on chrome

Yes, you can print on chrome film with Eco-Solvent (probably UV and latex too, but I only have Eco). It's been a while, but I remember going through 3 or 4 brands/series til I found one that worked well (and labeled as "printable") -- ended up being the really pricey stuff. It was probably the...
  18. Oracal 751 removability on vehicle application

751 is a cast film, and it uses permanent acrylic-based adhesive, just like the 651 series. Black painted surface = more heat = harder to remove. Yes, you can remove it with a heat gun, but you will have to fight it. Also, I'd be surprised if your customer comes back within 3 or 4 years for a...
  19. Best way to cut down rolls of vinyl

Doesn't get much cheaper than this (for a debris-free solution):
  20. window security film install

Yep, I looked into this too because I had a huge (and potentially very lucrative) job to bid. I spoke to the lead developer at a door and window company about it (a customer of mine that specializes in govt./institutional work). He said anytime they install security films, they add the film...
