    Very interesting... Thanks for the info. The vendor we normally use for our substrates doesn't offer that thickness, only 3mm and 6mm... Must be why we've never seen it.

    So a customer brought in some sign panels for us to re-face... after looking at the panels we determined one was too damaged, and not worth repair so we talked them into getting a whole new sign. At first look, the sign has 2 brackets at top for hanging, and looks to be made of 2 pieces of 6mm...
  5. Laminate Changes Colors?!?!

    We were under the impression that 210 was the standard laminate that most in the sign industry used for outdoor signage... Also is is only failing on areas that do not have printed ink. Laminate over ink is holding up just fine, and looks good.

    So we've noticed on a few signs around town, that we've printed, that the laminate is turning a pinkish orange color... but only in the areas that are not printed. (The areas that have printed ink look fine, but the areas where there is bare white vinyl is changing color) We use Oracal 210...

    +1 for cropping in photoshop... you could try rasterizing the clipped pic in illustrator x4, if the image isnt too large to rasterize in illy... Make 1 box, clip it, rasterize it, then move on to 2nd box, and so on...

    Ok, so placing the file works, but this is a print/cut job, so the artwork has the cut lines layered over the top... I need it without cut lines or at least the ability to edit them... :(

    Thanks for all the replies... Many of the things mentioned I have already tried. Sent the file over to GB2. Hopefully he can make some sense of it. I will however attempt to place the .pdf and see if that does anything to help. Thanks again.
