The Telegraph is an English newspaper, so no OSHA for them and probably London and needed fixing. Also has the star of David on the face, must have been owned by Jews.
Weldon 3 should be good enough for keeping acrylic together at the seams. Just do not spill it on the faces, use the needle tip to get into seams, is it clear acrlic or the frosted white as you show, glue sets up quickly. VHB tape for LED on the sides
when doing second surface work with clear acrylic you have tocompletly clean it and look for any blimishes.
that looks like a backing paper or thin plastic wrap cloudiness. a very light compound will take that out with a follow up with glass cleaner.
