  1. About to buy the HP 700w

Just bought a Colorado 1650. Can’t wait to get away from latex and HP. They are consistently inconsistent…Color, service, quality, etc. Don’t know if I will like Canon (as a company) any better, but don’t know how they could be any worse than HP. The 1650 looks very impressive and have...
  2. Discussion Trufire vs Vanguard

Reds are tough on any flatbed. Yes, Caldera is a bit too blame. We have had the Digitech team rip files via Onyx to our machine through their server. There is definitely a noticeable difference between Calder and onyx. The reds are on par with our HP flatbeds and have never had a customer...
  3. HP Latex 2700

I don’t understand why all these companies bring all this equipment to these shows to just sit there. Are they scared of what people will see/think? People want to see it work. We’re not buying it for a show piece!
  4. Colex vs iECHO

I don’t think I would compare summa to Zund. Colex is an incredible bang for your buck. About to buy the Colex automated bed to pair with our Digitech. Flawless combination.
  5. Suggestions Looking for a flatbed printer

Very true. When you are running 4 picoliter drop size there is no need for light colors. I would put Digitech’s quality up against anybodies. We print a ton of acrylic for a customer that cannot achieve the same quality or color on their Fuji flatbeds. Our consistency on our Digitech is...
  6. Getting paid from customer using bank ACH method

Unless it’s reoccurring business there is no point in going through the extra process.
  7. need real world feedback of the HP W800

I absolutely despise HP for your same exact reasons. You want to love their machines, but they as a company make it impossible. Their too big to work with and could give two shits about any of their customers. It’s like buying a printer from the government and any issue is like initiating an...
  8. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

That’s great information. So your postage is downloaded through stamps dot com? I am assuming you pay by dimensional weight and that it can’t be bent or folded? Once you pay, they send you a pdf with the postage stamp? Was each one unique or all the same?
  9. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

I am assuming you meant 4.5 minutes for both sides. Have been curious about how postage worked on coro. Thanks for the info!
  10. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

You need a true flatbed or cut down and run as smaller pieces. We have to precut to print on our hybrids to get art to line up. On our true flatbed we are spot on with front/back registration.
  11. Flatbed UV Suggestions

I went to Digitech facility to look at the 5 head with the intent to upgrade down the road. Ended up buying the 10 head machine and it has changed our business. Would not be where we are today without it. Digitech is truly a partner of ours. They showed me how vendor/customer relationships...
  12. Flatbed UV Suggestions

I know I am a Digitech fanboy, but I honestly don’t think there is anybody out there that can match their quality, speed and reliability. We have run 3 pass (50 seconds a board) all day every single day for almost 2 years without a single issue. That blows my mind. Maybe we are lucky, but...
  13. Flatbed UV Suggestions

Yes, not sure if johnny has been in front of these machines. Unless you either own or have demo’d these machines your input is pretty much irrelevant. Real world experience is much more reliable than some dude that has watched YouTube videos or “knows somebody that has one.”
  14. Flatbed UV Suggestions

Was in your same shoes a few years ago. I had roughly the same budget but ended up spending more as I felt is was much worth it. Looked at the same Swiss and are so glad I did not go that route. Unless you are buying their top of the line printer, the speed will bleed you dry. EFI is another...
  15. Flatbed UV Suggestions

A good starting point would be to know your budget and what markets your printing for. Lots of options out there and this could help narrow it down.
  16. Talk about an @$! whooping!

I agree but it doesn’t take an army to operate this equipment. We have 8 total employees and that’s how I like it. Small family environment. We work hard, have fun and leave it at the door when we go home. Except today…we are working on a Saturday. Lol.
  17. Talk about an @$! whooping!

Absolutely. Coming up on year 2 with our machine and have run it all day everyday at that speed. Trying to hire for a second shift at the moment and will eventually be adding a second machine. The craziest part is we have not had one service call since owning this machine. The real head...
  18. Talk about an @$! whooping!

You will realistically get 90 boards an hour with loading and the auto unloader. My machine doesn’t have their 2 pass option so we are averaging between 50-60 boards an hour (real production).
  19. Talk about an @$! whooping!

So I guess your in the construction business? Apples to oranges.
  20. Talk about an @$! whooping!

That’s cool and all but last time I checked caterpillars don’t print a 4x8 ever 27 seconds.
