  1. Reliable QR Code Generator?

Wow, that IS impressive. Next level QR stuff!
  2. The annual question...how was business this year?

Me + 1 other person here. Lost our main production person this year (to another better paying job) and have managed to keep our head above water. Our year end is September so we're already into our "new year", but last year was almost to the dollar the same as year before, with a huge jump in...
  3. Buying my next printer

Thanks for that! I forgot about that thread. Bookmarked for later when I have time to build a new and improved version of what we have now.
  4. Best Practices for Protecting 4x8 Substrates During Customer Pickup

Absolutely, it definitely is a frustrating part of the business. We also stock 48" foam and 48" corrugated b flute rolls, but of course it's not quite wide enough to cover the edge. There may be 60" rolls somewhere out there but harder to come by.
  5. Best Practices for Protecting 4x8 Substrates During Customer Pickup

I hear ya. We run into the same issue and honestly haven't found a perfect solution. Depending on how they're being shipped and the value of the job, a lot of times we'll just use full sheets of coroplast and slit pieces to protect the edges. Not ideal when you're using $25 worth of material...
  6. Buying my next printer

Welcome from Canada. I'd add the Epson S60600L to your list if you're doing that kind of volume. We added a S60600 last year and it's been a beast. We don't run quite as much as you're talking but it's been a really solid printer for us. Can easily run your 5000 to 7500 sq ft every week, if...
  7. Best Practices for Protecting 4x8 Substrates During Customer Pickup

You are. Talk to a box manufacturer (local). Tell them what you're trying to do, they'll come up with something for you. Easy peasy.
  8. Best Practices for Protecting 4x8 Substrates During Customer Pickup

What kind of magic bullet are you looking for then? Get your employees to pay attention, start ordering custom boxes/sleeves for your orders, and build that into your cost. (or consider it a wash because you're eliminating wasted labor) I think the logical step would be to contact a box...
  9. Understanding vinyl durability

Polyester might be a different story, it doesn't really behave like PVC vinyl in terms of shrinkage/failure etc. Is mirror gold acrylic an option? (Assuming this exists)
  10. Hello

Welcome from Canada! I have a friend named Yann. Quite the character.
  11. One man shop

    Welcome from Canada.
  12. Best regards from Germany :)

    Welcome from Canada!
  13. This is why you NEVER agree to do trademarked artwork...

  14. Need Cheap Source for Bandanna's

Good job digging up 14 year old threads, spambot!
  15. Thin Clients With a Twist, Y'all Ready?

842 Partners!? Jesus. MS is getting out of hand. Just yesterday on our computer that runs our flatbed cutter, trying to set up and send jobs down and get interrupted by some BS pop up asking if I'm enjoying some service. Getting sick of all the ads and "features" that you can't avoid, even...
  16. This is why you NEVER agree to do trademarked artwork...

Wowza, all that over a toy truck! Sounds like lady in the legal department should be looking into a career choices. Glad it all went away without you getting into trouble.
  17. Chipply - I just bought it for apparel stores and love it

Interesting, looks really good! If only someone had something simple like this for signs..... On top of the $1,000 set up, you're also paying them 6.4% per transaction? https://chipply.com/pricing I guess that's where they make their money back. (Not a stab, just trying to wrap my head...
  18. Vinyl Recommendation?

This, and also the fact that you're trying to stick with removable films for some reason? For windows & walls we generally stick to 3M 40C or 3M IJI80cv3. Paired with a high tack premask like TransferRite 992U.
  19. Credit Card Companies

Yep, same thing in Canada. As much as I hate losing 3-4 points on payments, I'd rather eat that than charge customers a fee to take their money. Most of our large customers have terms and pay EFT but all other customers pay by CC. I'd sooner have the money in our account today less 3-4%...
