Absolutely, it definitely is a frustrating part of the business. We also stock 48" foam and 48" corrugated b flute rolls, but of course it's not quite wide enough to cover the edge. There may be 60" rolls somewhere out there but harder to come by.

I hear ya. We run into the same issue and honestly haven't found a perfect solution. Depending on how they're being shipped and the value of the job, a lot of times we'll just use full sheets of coroplast and slit pieces to protect the edges. Not ideal when you're using $25 worth of material...

What kind of magic bullet are you looking for then? Get your employees to pay attention, start ordering custom boxes/sleeves for your orders, and build that into your cost. (or consider it a wash because you're eliminating wasted labor) I think the logical step would be to contact a box...

Polyester might be a different story, it doesn't really behave like PVC vinyl in terms of shrinkage/failure etc. Is mirror gold acrylic an option? (Assuming this exists)

This, and also the fact that you're trying to stick with removable films for some reason? For windows & walls we generally stick to 3M 40C or 3M IJI80cv3. Paired with a high tack premask like TransferRite 992U.

Yep, same thing in Canada. As much as I hate losing 3-4 points on payments, I'd rather eat that than charge customers a fee to take their money. Most of our large customers have terms and pay EFT but all other customers pay by CC. I'd sooner have the money in our account today less 3-4%...
