  2. TrafficSign.us Gone

You mean you can't see the site that I could've designed in my elementary computer class...?
  3. Printer Ink Options

We've always gone with the 6+ color options in the past, but recently added a 4 color Epson S60600. The increased print speed far outweighs the increased color gamut as far as I'm concerned. I don't think we'll go back to anything more than a 4 color unless it's a configuration that isn't...
  4. Scam Email or not?

It's also a good idea to keep an eye out for the spambots that seem to infiltrate this forum on an hourly basis. How long have you been in the "sign business" exactly?
  5. How long does it take you to letter a truck?

We have a winner! This made me laugh, thanks. Sad but true sometimes.
  6. Estimate and Accounting Software

    Fuck off, spambot.
  7. How long does it take you to letter a truck?

Agreed on all fronts. Slapping it up and not actually getting measurements (and documenting them) is just sloppy workmanship. I don't care how good your "eye" is. Yes, I can paste up graphics by eye-balling it and probably be 90% there, but I sure as hell aren't just calling that good enough...
  8. How long does it take you to letter a truck?

Really??? What kind of magnets do you like to use on new Ford trucks....? Smartass comments aside, I get what you're saying but having some kind of reference that can be duplicated on the other side/other vehicles is pretty important, IMHO.

  10. F1612 + Onyx barcode question...

It's definitely a frustrating machine when things aren't working.....(which happens more than I think they should anyways) When things are dialed in and humming along it's a great machine. Currently battling with GoProduce always insisting on defaulting to ACM as the material whenever it...
  11. Looking for a Printing Company Capable of Printing up to 14' Wide Seamless for SEG Frames

Similar request the other day, not much in terms of suggestions though: https://www.signs101.com/threads/16ft-wide-dyesub-printed-fabric-vendor.178338/
  12. Alcohol streaks in UV prints

Will have to try this. There is ammonia in RapidTac 2 isn't there? I wonder if that is the magic ingredient.
  13. Right to Repair Act

What's with all the empty posts?
  14. Alcohol streaks in UV prints

Pretty much what all our prints look like on our Oce Arizona when we prep w/ alcohol (or anything else for that matter) on acrylic. Not helpful I know, but I've yet to find a way to successfully prep materials like acrylic without leaving behind visible streaks. Have you tried buffing off the...

    Have you considered Google? https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/graphics-signage-us/resources/installer-training-testing/preferred-graphics-testing-dates/
  16. National Facilities Direct Corporation (NFDC), anyone dealt with them?

Those 5 star reviews are all fake/bought. I'd be weary if I was you, seems like the only real ones are the 1 star reviews and they all have the same theme...............shady. Good luck.
  17. Customer sent me this ad/price

Is anyone else getting this popup when you first visit the site? THAT'S how you compete with a company like this, even if only temporarily. I honestly hate that business model, makes us all look bad. Especially with coroplast signs, customers don't really care about quality when it comes to...
  18. attaching ACM to steel frame

Ah yes, you're right. I think staring at spreadsheets and formulas all friggin' day has officially fried my brain. Might be time to call it a week. :toasting:
  19. attaching ACM to steel frame

For the sake of playing devil's advocate, and assuming you can get acm to bond to itself really well...........Couldn't you in theory bond the two sheets to themselves once in place? Run a bead of vhb or whatever along that frame just to be safe, but if you scuffed and bonded the two sheets...
  20. Wrapping a 50ft tall concrete silo. Anyone ever done something similar? Pricing and time?

That's too bad. Hard to imagine going through a shit show like that and forgetting about it. To me this would be one of those important "lesson learned" type projects.
