  1. er074 err cr2 current after every print

The black stop is fine, also the tfence has been cleaned quiet a bit. However the machine has started giving me this error again. I wiped the strip down with a dry cloth, it did nothing, I then wiped it down with a towel with a little bit of alcohol, neither has done any good and I cant get...
  2. er074 err cr2 current after every print

Of course naturally, as soon as I post this the machine starts giving me this error as soon as I turn the machine back on. I have restarted the machine because of the error 4 times. I have been printing out on clear 3651g panels that are 30"x75" on quality1. One other bit of information, I am...
  3. er074 err cr2 current after every print

Starting yesterday, after everything I print I am getting this error as soon as printing starts. I can turn the printer off and back on and it will print fine. Anyone know what this is about? This is on a mutoh vj 1204 with firmware 1.18 Disregard, a quick search lead me to a reply by...
  4. valuejet 1204 bad main board?

Dont worry, thats exactly how all the print heads look on the 1204. I have my old one in my hand right now. ;) I would try contacting mutoh support or see if Randya responds to this post to see what your best option is.
  5. Anyone else use a ramdisk for scratch disk?

I thought flexi 8.5 was the only version working correctly with vista x64 or win7? I know I have run flexi 8.1 on vista 64, but had quiet a few problems and crashes. I wasnt able to plot or print without a crash either.
  6. Anyone else use a ramdisk for scratch disk?

Depending on how much ram you have now, you might notice a big speed difference or you might not notice much difference until you start working with bigger files. The main reason I have the ram disk setup is that its about 50 times faster then a 7200 rpm drive. Since adobe cs3 products only...
  7. Anyone else use a ramdisk for scratch disk?

I recently had to rebuild my main design computer, I am still running xp 32bit, but installed 6 gigs of ram anyway. I set 3 gigs of the ram up as a ram drive (using superspeed ramdisk plus), and pointed my photoshop temp directory to that drive. It has boosted my photoshop performance by a...
  8. core i7 vs dual 55xx xeons

I am going to be building a new design computer and am at a crossroads. I was leaning towards dual xeons, but have talked with a few of my IT friends and they brought up valid points leading me back towards the core i7. I run flexisign pro, and adobe cs4 (photoshop more then anything)...
  9. New Build

I just wanted to add to what Choucove said. I also am getting ready to make the switch to SSD's on my new design computer. I purchased one to test out and put it in my laptop and its made a huge difference. I went with the OCZ Vertex and will stay with them in the future. OCZ has updated...
  10. ValueJet 1608

    PM sent, thank you.
  11. ValueJet 1608

I am looking into purchasing this printer, we currently have had a valuejet 1204 for 3 years. I have done some searching on here, but didnt find much first hand information from shops using this printer. My main use for this printer will be printing on 3mm coro, I am really wondering on how...
  12. Anyone used Eleven Ten color Inks ?

I tried the eleven ten inks, but like everyone else said, I had horrible luck with them. Apparently their cartridges aren't compatible with the attest firmware (that is what eleven ten told me). I keep getting "not original" in all 3 sets they sent me. I still have two of the sets, but they...
  13. Banding Issue... & Other Odd Annomilies

That looks a lot like my prints was looking awhile back. Come to find out some how the machines settings got reset to its defaults. Double check all your settings, especially heater and pf adjustments. How old is your machine?
  14. Question on the q75 (fc7000-75)

I never have any problems contour cutting with white vinyl with Oracle (651, 3651, 3165, etc), FDC, or 3m (only tried it once). I am using a Mutoh Valuejet 1204, and flexi sign 8.1 pro. However I have a customer who is currently having their logo printed onto an ultra metallic silver. The...
  15. Mutoh valuejet 1204 settings errased?

The machine was turned off but not unpluged. A power backup system has been on my list of things I need, however the boss keeps saying its not in the budget. Also I havnt made any settings changes to this machine in many months other then switching media types. I just turned it on after...
  16. Ink & Service ?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but wanted to give my $0.02 on the eleven ten inks. The first set of trial inks the company sent me was 440ml, they paid for shipping back to them and sent out another set which was 220ml. However these inks gave the error "not original" after talking with...
  17. Mutoh valuejet 1204 settings errased?

When I came in yesterday morning, all of the settings on my valuejet was set to what I am assuming is factory default. I had flushing lines on each side of the print, all of my preset media settings was gone, print feed adjustment, all reset. I am slowly trying to get all of my settings set...
  18. Outline Cut Problem

Not a problem. I also want to point out, when you are printing, its usually better to make the outline a little bigger then you want and then use a negative contour cut to get the size you want, so you have a little color bleed in case the plotter gets off. For example, if you want a 0.25"...
  19. Outline Cut Problem

When I do an outline, first I always make sure "with backing" is selected (the solid red box, instead of red just around the edge). Then I separate the outline and then add the contour cut to only the outline. Hope this helps.
  20. Ink, Media or Heater issue?

What are your heater settings at? Also whats the name of the profile you are using exactly? I am going to lean more towards a heater issue. I currently am running mine at 30 preheater, 35 platten, 50 for the dryer/post heater.
