I have a similar issue with Illustrator and it does crash but it's when I have Photoshop open at the same time and happens when I'm not using either program, they just need to be open and something eventually triggers a crash. Haven't figured it out yet.
Yikes. This and the lack of knowledge of the machine from the salesman is what made me decide against getting a Roland UV machine. Hope for y'all sake they fix this issue soon.
I've had the off cutting issue several times. It randomly appears to happen and I haven't figured out why, but it only happens to me when I read a barcode from a sheet, it has never happened when cutting a roll. Usually I just turn the machine off and on again and it will cut fine. I'm not sure...
I have not worked with them before. My other machine I got through Grimco, but ITNH is fairly local to me (2.5hrs away) and they answered every question I had about the UCJV machines and gave me a good demo on the 300 version. So far everything has been pretty smooth, next will be delivery and...
Placed an order the the UCJV330-160 today. Hopefully I'll have this settled in a couple of months and can report back on the machine. Very excited to get this thing in here and start learning how to use it.
I appreciate everyone's input and feedback here to help give me food for thought.
Ahh yes I didn't think about that and with this machine being very new that may be an issue. Worst case scenario is I'll have to use Rasterlink for a while, not my idea setup but if it will get the job done.
Ahh good to know. I'm just waiting to hear back from them to find out how much it'll be for the upgrade, probably be the same as buying it new at this point since I'm on version 19.
I didn't know about advantage though and that may be a good option. I'm on Thrive now and would rather not...
I'm wondering if anyone here is using the Onyx subscription model. Also open to possibly another software like Flexi, which also offers a subscription model.
I'll be running a Epson solvent printer, a Mimaki UV roll-2-roll printer and one Graphtech cutter, possibly a Summa cutter but the Summa...
Now I see my quote it is setup for that CMYK CL CL W W setup. I'm still contemplating he 300 series but it's a new head and it's only about 30% faster than the 300. I guess any sped increase is a good one.
So I've been doing some digging and I think the UCJV330 model is using the Epson i3200 heads, hence the new ink delivery system and the 4pl droplet size, and moving away from the Ricoh Gen5 heads that are in the 300 version. If I had lots of volume I'd probably go for the 330 model but I think...
Agreed, which has me hesitating slightly on the 330. (I've gotta make a decision this weekend to take advantage of their financing promo.)
I read in one other thread one guy said the 330 is having issues, but I can't go based on one person opinion, and either have to be in that first round...
Why do you think this? Have you been using a per-releae model of the 330? I'm considering getting a 330 over the 300 right now, but I also know adopting new tech can also come with some headaches. It's 30% faster than the 300 and a smaller dot (4pl down from 7pl on the 300). Also sounds like...
I'm really leaning towards getting the UCJV330 machine if the lead time isn't too long. From what I know it's about 30% faster than the 300 model. Updated UV lamp system, updated ink injection system that can print 4pl dot down from 7pl on the 300 model.
Is it worth the extra costs? possibly...
I don't think I'll be looking at the Roland. I was just turned off by the sales guy not even know anything about how it prints. I asked him 2 questions about the multi layer printing and the ink and he couldn't answer either of them. Just doesn't instill a lot of confidence in me. The mimaki...
Hearing these things help my decision. My local dealer is really pushing as much info to me to get me to buy one over the Mimaki. I just don't want to have any issues like this cropping up for me. They are so close in what they do it makes it hard and it's the little things that will sway a...
Does anyone have thoughts on Roland LG UV machines?
I was talking to a dealer about one of those. Just looking comparing the Roland LG and the UCJV300 they seem to be on par with each other as far as print capabilities.
Both do 8 colors, layered printing, inline cutting...
