I'd love to get a new UCJV 330 machine but would it really be wroth the extra cost over the older 300 model?
As far as I can see the big main difference is a new head technology allowing for better prints and faster speeds. Also it looks like some new clear functions have been added over and...
For all my calendared work I used Substance vinyl and laminates.
They also make a nice holographic 3mil calendared vinyl.
I see they have a neon line of cast vinyl available now. (only 1 Year durability though) now sure if that's because of the colors and how they have to formulate it.
Ok so I'm seriously revisiting this idea of a R2R UV printer.
I'm not sure if I should go with the mimaki UCJV330 coming out, the 300 to save a few thousand $.
I thought maybe a UJV since I already have a separate plotters here, but that only comes in 64". Space is tight so I'd like to get...
I was solely on insatagram, but the last few months business has fallen by 75% in the last 2 months. Now I'm contemplating closing up shop or finding a part-time job to fill in gaps. I've got clients that rely on me, but they don't order every week, so I can't just up and close and leave people...
Yeah that's what I did. Wasn't sure if it was a good idea to roll them or not, sandwich mailer.
Was not happy about driving an hour in a snow storm to find them closed without telling me prior.
Well they wanted all the pieces cut individually, they are doing the application of these themselves or they have someone that is doing it for them.
These are all masked with a clear transfer tape, just wondering what is the best way to mail these without the transfer tape coming off the...
Looking to try some other vinyls to offer for stickers but not sure what good brands are out there for these types of specialty vinyls.
I use a holographic vinyl from Substance which I absolutely love but I'd like to offer some other specialty finishes. I am on solvent printing and I know that...
I'm leaning towards the Mimaki right now as it just sounds overall like a better machine and compared to the Roland R2R UV offerings. (Also my local Roland dealer seems to not want to contact me about them for information. Kinda off-putting.)
The Mimaki dealer said the inks have less of an odor...
It will be outdoors from what I know so I'll have to order materials for this since I don't do these kinds of jobs. I'd rather use a wholesaler to order the cut vinyl from and then just apply the application tape myself rather than ordering all materials for one order.
I was going to go with...
Still working on the design and details of this thing but I want to do it as correctly as possible the first time around.
Would it be wise to break these up into multiple pieces for ease of applying to the window? I was going to do the top text and logo together and then the bottom piece as a...
I'd say if you're looking for reliability, look to into an Epson machine, although I don't know much about their resin printers, their solvent printers are incredibly reliable and excellent print quality.
Customer asked for a couple of door decals (logo, phone number, etc.) However since I've never done this kind of work before and I want to do it as good as I can the first time. These will be exposed to the elements, at least one will be I know that.
What are some decent (relatively lower cost)...
This was my thought after hearing a couple of people on this machine. My local Roland dealer won't even call me when I expressed interest into these. Another place had an early release machine and within a month the whole machine had to be replaced. I don't think Roland's layering feature is...
I think keeping moving physically is a good thing. You don't have to be a super athlete or do anything crazy. Some good strength work and mobility work, which is why yoga is really good. Never had any serious printing injuries other than some sliced finger tips form using a light table to cut...
I didn't intend to make it banner size for him. Just example to how it can clean up some images. Also I wouldn't use it for any text and would set the text again that way it's crisp.
Gigapixel might be worth an investment if you continually have this sort of thing. I get similar issues with people pulling graphics or their "logo designer" only supplying a PNG or JPEG for artwork instead of vector or something saved as for web purposes. Ran that image you had linked through...
