Yes, make a copy and then do the clipping mask on whichever.
  2. Clip from an image with illustrator

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but you'd use a clipping mask. Make a box over top of the area you want to clip and then select both, right click and choose clipping mask.

  4. VS-540i Feed Motor Error 00CC 0004 Turn Power OFF

You may have already done this, but did you make sure the feed rollers turn fine without the motor connected? A long time ago, I ended up having a feed motor issue, can't remember if it was this code, but turned out that the feed roller / grit rollers had built up a bunch of adhesive residue and...
  5. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I agree, can't eat everything, but we're trying to help our US customer's, as a large volume of our business is over there. As of right now, that's how it's working, think it's called free domicile, under Section 321 which has a de minimis, something like that, but like you said, it can change...
  6. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I think that it's more the companies that ship low value, there are certain ways of shipping that if it's low value, the tariff's don't really effect it much.
  7. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I'm sure some companies will try in some part, we plan to absorb as much as we can, but I doubt the aluminum, forestry and oil industries will and probably not the dairy, lol. I just hope that this all doesn't completely destroy the relationship between both our countries. I do believe that most...
  8. Recurrent problem with Roland VS-300, nozzles go missing when doing cleaning. Come back after head soak... HELP!

As mentioned before, unfortunately it's the head, it looks like there was a head crash, it shouldn't be warping like that. It's never fun having to replace a head, especially that one, as it is relatively expensive. Make sure to buy OEM. It's not worth trying one of those cheap ones.
  9. VS540i Printing All Channels

Are you referring to a nozzle test print? If so, you go function, then down to cleaning and hit enter on test print.
  10. Mutoh 1641 Ink streaking blobs excess ink

Have you looked under to see if it's dripping from the head? Did replacing the other dampers resolve the issue?
  11. Mimaki JV150-130 Missing Nozzles

My best advice is to contact your local dealer, they should either have a tech or be able to point you in the right direction.
  12. Mimaki JV150-130 Missing Nozzles

Appears as though there was a head strike based on the wave. Unfortunately you'll need a new head.
  13. Roland Peck4.exe what is the big deal about this software and why...

You shouldn't need the peck tool for the VS-300i, the service menu isn't locked out on that one, you just need to know the button sequence to enter it.
  14. Question Ricoh GEN5

There is certainly some issues with the K1 & K2 l, both C and Magenta M1 & M2 L Heads, probably what is causing the issues. Although I don't have a UV printer, I would imagine these would have a capping station like our Eco-Solvent Printers, what is the condition of it / them and how old?
  15. Question Ricoh GEN5

What model are you using and can you post a Nozzle test print. Might be that the print head is starting to die or could be maintenance issues, hard to say without more information.
  16. Roland tech and Roland dealer in my area

If the sensor didn't fix the issue, might be the board the sensor goes to.
  17. Roland tech and Roland dealer in my area

You can power off and unplug the printer, move down the capping station and do a manual cleaning.
  18. Roland Verswaorks 6 work with VS-540

Understood. I wasn't certain. I guess VW5 is the only option then.
  19. Help

Solventinkjet.com is an active trusted member here, so I doubt they'd sell you a used or refurb one. It's quite unlikely you'd get 2 defective heads at once. If you rule out the cables, my guess might be the board those cables go into.
