What about DTF ink and latex ink, UV ink? what properties of DTF ink make it "DTF" that latex/resin/UV doesn't have

No, I would like to know what is holding back something like a Canon Colorado from printing DTF? I'm sure someone out there is working on a film/adhesive powder that could make it possible one day

That article is comparing desktop inkjet printers to DTF. Doesn't really get into the technical aspects of why it is not yet possible to do this on wide format printers

Well explain to me why DTF can't be printed on a regular wide format printer. Would be great to have the option to print DTF on a printer I already have instead of buying another printer.

The advantage would be that you don't have to buy an additional printer. Not about speed or width, just being able to print dtf without buying another printer would be amazing. Ink could be left tacky printed on the colorado and then finish curing it during the adhesive baking process. Print...

The same kicker goes for the Colorado, you could by 6 epsons for the price of a colorado and get get double/triple the output

Doing research on DTF and it got me thinking, what is preventing DTF from being printed on something like a Colorado M with white ink? Would the ink adhere too much/not release from the film? Would the glue not stick to the ink? What is special about DTF specific printers/ink that wide format...

I got my service contract after 1 year warranty was up. At the time of purchasing the printer Canon said I can buy the service contract on day 1 or once the 1 year warranty is up. Who ever your dealer is , is messing up

Hopefully canon will be willing to install them, I can see them having a policy of parts purchased from us only. I'm sure a dealer would install no problem
