Hey y'all I'm looking for 14 of these, 10"x11". They're going on fire trucks. Would they look better printed with metallic gold foil on white, or white foil on metallic gold? Anyone wanna quote me?
Thanks!
So the FIRST thing I should've done was put a pencil to it - between material costs and quicker installation (on testing with cast vinyl I found that you move the TSA-4 about three times faster) I'd save about $150. Definitely not worth being a test pilot, I'm just gonna use the Envision 480...
Thank you, but I'm putting red letters on the wall. Yes I could use Envision textured wall digital material, print it, laminate it, and cut it. But this post is me asking if there is a cut vinyl material that people have used / would recommend.
ikarasu, did you get many bubbles? I have the 2 handed 3M tool and I was just playing with Oracal 951 premium cast. Turned the heat down from 1000 to 400 degrees, and moved very quickly to avoid blistering, but was still getting a few bubbles. The extra time to pop a few is well worth the...
So I'm lettering a painted block wall, 2' letters. The customer insists on vinyl, no paint. It's a landlord/tenant issue. No holes, no paint. Does anyone have any experience with cut vinyl on textured walls? I talked to 3M and they said the only way to do it is print/lam/cut Envision 480.
True, and the shadow adds quite a bit to the look imo. I'd print reverse on clear, apply that to pc 1, apply etch to pc 2, then make a sandwich - etch, plex, clear, plex.
Question - if somebody posts "hey I'm looking for X to be fabbed for me" and I fab X, can I reply "I can make that for you" if I'm not an MM? (I know I can reply, you know what I'm asking here)
Thanks for the advice! What do you mean by this?
Also, "work from the inside out" - the instructional video shows the whole "seal three sides, work towards the fourth" thing. Do you do something different?
