  1. In need of someone/someplace to print static cling

"Opened" the pdf? In acrobat or...? I don't ever trust measurements within any pdf viewer. I import to Corel or open in ai select the "cut" line and there's where you'll find the size.
  2. In need of someone/someplace to print static cling

We use a white static cling so no need for white ink. Also recommend black to be R0G0B0. Not saying we'd take it on. Not my decision. Not sure the little ones would even plot though.
  3. Any lighting tips for weeding vinyl - especially white - I can not see cut lines

The pounce bag is what I suggested soon after starting here (over 17yrs ago) and I had absolutely no weeding experience. Uh...nobody listened to me. Along with many other great ideas. We still squint and look from every angle 'til the light is just right. Glad to here it actually works.
  4. Software options

Oops. For that I cannot recommend any as the software we use is over 30 years old and our sales staff, as well as our accountant, hate it. A couple of years ago we looked into and actually purchased Cyrious for sign pricing and tracking production. We were talking about moving to Quickbooks for...
  5. Software options

Age old loaded question. Most will need several software programs as many clients have there own design to provide but it will be either ai, eps, or pdf. CorelDRAW/Photopaint (my choice) Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop Both require extensive learning. Corel I find to be easier to learn by doing...
  6. Educating clients in what is and isn't high quality artwork.

To curb the frustration I'll try google advanced search to look for pdf's 9 times outta 10 the logo is in vector format on one of those pdf's Occasionally I've found svg logos on the company website that the company didn't even realize was vector. And then there's Brands of the World or...
  7. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

Update "Suzie M commented: Hi Myron, I just received word from the engineers, and they could identify a possible cause for the issue. While I don't have an ETA on when a fix for the issue will be pushed, we will deploy it as soon as one is available. Once we have more information, we’ll...
  8. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

Update, I tried creating the form thru the various free online form creators. Using mine as a template but replacing my acrobat checkboxes with ones generated from the particular online creator. I then download as a pdf to my pc them upload to trello. Same result, no checkbox fields show as...
  9. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

No good with edge either. Creating an image isn't ideal for the best workflow but we have resorted to that in the meantime. We may even implement using a tablet to "pencil" in the workorders and then save as pdf for upload to trello.
  10. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

Thanks for the test pdf. Just as I suspected it doesn't have anything to do with our antiquated software (Acrobat Pro 9.0.0) Your pdf produced the same undesired result. A little background. We use trello for tracking our jobs. When attaching these workorder pdf's to the cards they are...
  11. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

Yeah, I was afraid it would come across like that. Not phishing. I can fish but not phish. lol Just troubleshooting a problem in our workflow.
  12. Need a favor - download pdf template and return results

I've created a fillable pdf workorder for our sign shop. Designed in CorelDRAW then saved as pdf. Opened pdf in Acrobat Pro 9 and used the create form option. Added various form fields. We've been using this form successfully for a couple of years now but now something flakey is happening. We're...
  13. Is it insulting to point out the desired way to set up 3rd party files?

Now I'm insulted! :roflmao: Nothing wrong about our workflow. We print all our own stuff and have spent many years perfecting said workflow. I know what works and what works the fastest & most economical while utilizing the substrate to its fullest. If you can't follow my simple pdf...
  14. Is it insulting to point out the desired way to set up 3rd party files?

Carefull, don't want to insult me. lol
  15. Is it insulting to point out the desired way to set up 3rd party files?

We do charge an art fee if it's not "print ready". We get a lot of raster pdf's that aren't even close to the requested size or orientation and they can't understand why there's an art fee.
  16. Is it insulting to point out the desired way to set up 3rd party files?

I get a lot of 3rd party "print ready" pdf files that really aren't. We never print the pdf's directly, we always import to Corel and check sizes and set up for multiple prints as needed. Trouble is not many "degreed" designers know how to set up a pdf to be cross compatible. i.e. convert fonts...
  17. Looking for this panther clipart in vector format

Thanks, I can work that cost into the estimate.
  18. Rush Fees

Normal turnaround after approval is 3-4 business days. Anything less gets a rush fee.
  19. Rush Fees

Rush fee is a must. Majority of our customers aren't swayed. A lot of boat registration numbers, realtor signs etc. Boat people are made of money. lol Just the other day we did RTA vinyl, 2 day ship to California for a boat with a port of call in Pensacola FL. $60 to ship in a small 4" tube.
