Ha, I deal with this on a daily basis! Lady brings in a "flyer" 8.5 x 11 portrait, wants to make it into a popup banner. "do you have it in digital format"? Yes, I'll email it to you. It's a freakin jpg! What the......! Answer is NO!
Majority of our in-house printed banners are hemmed with double-sided banner tape and hand grommet. We do have the capability to stitch but reserve that only for pole banners.
Is it full coverage? If not all you need are physical measurement top width, bottom width and height. Best to keep to all vector so you you print in a "smiley" shape to better conform with the convex of the window unless it's fairly flat.
Just thought I'd post the city's reply.
"Good afternoon,
The specifications provided on the forms are minimum dimensional standards. Please see the attached image of a sign posted on a property for an ongoing development project within the City. Please note that this is strictly for reference...
Holy crap! I have yet to find one that actually fits the city spec sheet! I mean I knew we had a world full of idiots but now I'm really scared!
p.s. haven't heard a word from city of Destin
Sent an email to the city. Don't really expect a reply. I also searched other public hearing signage specs and found another that didn't compute! Do they not actually have a designer to make these spec sheets?!
