  1. ROLAND SP300V CYMK Blank print after replacing printheads?

Make sure the fuses you checked are those in the attached pic (look for the red outline in the pic), as these are the fuses that supply voltage to the printheads and there are only 2. If these are good, have you tried to gently pull ink through each cap individually? Depending upon that test...
  2. Need Help Service call 0110

Start by initializing the limit - hold left, right, up arrow keys and power on, follow the prompts. Then, as stated above, run the encoder setup and calibration in service mode. Let us know...

  6. Roland SC-545EX pricing question

Not familiar with the Polar printer. More info needed for that, like a model number. Try Google searching and possibly Alibaba for info. Alibaba will probably be best as it's Chinese...
  7. Roland sp 300-v

That is a good troubleshooting technique to narrow down the issue. But, after switching the dampers, did you do a cleaning, preferably a medium cleaning to flush the other color inks from the head? If the test print done after this is K/C, but physically where the M/Y normally is, then you have...
  8. Roland SC-545EX pricing question

That would make sense, but the title had it correct. My point being there is a lot of info thrown around by various posters who don't do their research and make sure what they are posting is accurate. I have seen answers that would actually cause more issues. As people who ask for help are...
  9. Roland SC-545EX pricing question

Apparently you are not familiar with the Roland printer line. That model was a very popular printer and a workhorse machine. Please check your information before posting to insure you are not accidentally misleading someone. As far a good price, I would do a web search for that model being for...

  11. CJV150 Bad Test print and overspray

I would replace all the sponges and the captop, redo the cap adjustment and report back... Perhaps solventinkjet.com has some additional thoughts...
  12. CJV150 Bad Test print and overspray

Have you examined the bottom of the print head for physical damage or ink buildup on the head surface? What condition is the cap in, perhaps it should be replaced...
  13. roland sp 300 v dried lines

You need to take a systematic approach to solving this issue. Also, the protect the pump message just means the pump motor needs to cool off. I would suggest you try pulling ink through the magenta and yellow dampers to see if the clog is before or after that point. The following items will be...
  14. Need Help VersaCAMM VS-420 - Wrong Printhead Installed???

Epson sometimes implements codes into printheads that restrict them to certain printer models, especially the aqueous heads. This is likely your problem.. The DX4 solvent version heads can be used on water based heads. If you buy an aqueous version, you have to change the manifold to a solvent...

  16. Need Help VersaCAMM VS-420 - Wrong Printhead Installed???

That head shouldn't be used that machine. The solvent ink will start to melt the manifold and you are going to get plastic residue in the head, at which point it will make an interesting paperweight. The solution is to buy the correct printhead.
  17. Question Versacamm SP540V - Want to cut without having to put in any ink

The big thing is chips that still have ink life. The cartridges don't have to have ink in them, just put tape over the area on the cartridge where the empty tab comes out. It's in the lower front side of the cartridge. Or using refillable carts will work, but an additional expense.
  18. Question Versacamm SP540V - Want to cut without having to put in any ink

Nope... it must have cartridges with chips.
  19. Need Help Roland XC540 Issues... Bad Purchase?? =( Help Please.

Excellent post. Very informative and clearly written.
  20. Question Verifying an assumption

Your print quality is impacted by 2 factors - image dpi and printer quality setting. For general sign work that is viewed at more than 5-10 feet away, at the same printer quality setting, you will not find any dramatic improvement above 150 dpi image resolution. If you are doing prints that will...
