I contacted Cadlink and they sent me a new dongle driver and it worked perfect. It is very nice for a company to do that, instead of trying to sell you their latest revision of the same software. SC

A lot of emulsion paints now have wipe clean additives in them which can also cause issues with vinyl graphic installs. No matter how much you heat them and what vinyl you use it will eventually start peeling. SC

I try and keep my print room temperature to about 18-20C if you are in Farenheight that is way to cold. Also I also find that the big issue is humidity as the backing sheet can absorb moisture and can cause issues with ink laying down on the material properly. SC

I have replaced these valves on our 1604 twice due to them sticking. If I remember there is also a way of excercising the valves but replacement is the answer usually. SC

Carriage bearings failing. I have a 1604 (same machine) and because it has done so much work the bearings are worn and cannot be used on low head height anymore. It is a big job to replace them but they are replaceable. SC
