A new epson costs the same as Colorado service contract for 1 year, im supposed to have comfort that I'm covered with the service contract but not looking good right now.
Service could be way better, tech has been showing up 4 pm getting ready to clock out 5 30pm.
There are things canon could've done to get this fixed faster starting with tech coming at 8am instead of 4pm ready to clock out and not enough time to get parts shipped out that same day.
as much as I love my Colorado 1650 I'm having a bit of change of heart after it has been down for almost a week with no end in sight, chime in in my printer redundancy/back up plan thread:
https://www.signs101.com/threads/equipment-redundancy-bad-idea-to-rely-on-one-printer.174940/
My Canon Colorado 1650 has been down for almost a week, I'm backed up with about 10k sq/ft to print and repairs could take a few more days. This is the first time I've been down for more than a day and the down time has made me realize it is probably a bad idea to rely on one printer without any...
Yes the ready system is pretty expensive, it's for a large manufacturing facility. They want 10 to start and possibly more for their other locations. It doesn't have to be on wheels, will be stationary but no walls around since its a big warehouse. Wall mounted would be easy.
The $200 is for the stand/base only. The aluminum panel print is extra. I'm thinking in the $500 range for the whole thing
This will be used for brooms and other cleaning items
I have a customer wanting to create something similar to this with their branding, 10+ of these:
The one in the example is acm, easy way would be to buy this and apply my graphic to it but this stand/board is way over budget for customer.
I was thinking of using a poster stand like this and...
I print in high quality mode for most gloss prints and matte speed for most matte prints.
Still over 400 sq ft/hr and I don't have to worry about quality and trouble shoot/dial in settings
Banner I run in production modes
all the test shows is that you can get good print quality in HQ mode and superior mode. You can have missing nozzles and the printer will compensate in the HQ and superior mode that the nozzle test prints. I have up to 5 nozzles missing per head and the test shows perfect quality but hose...
I think in order to print at fast speed like gloss production you will need to have all printheads near perfect. couple of missing nozzles will show up at that speed as there just is not enough time/passes to compensate.
I know with the missing nozzles I have I can't run gloss production mode...
I just received this on Friday, will set up in a few days and report back
Looks very good quality so far

Under $3k delivered. There are some companies rebranding this and selling for $7k
That's about right. I would do one for 1k -1.5k depending on how busy I am and how close it is to me. Give them a slight discount for more signs to encourage them to get it all done at once like 5 for 5k.
