I have worked in the sign trade for 31 years now and always, always the signs (internal or external) are one of the very last things that a business organises.
It never shocks me any more when a customer storms into my shop on a Friday afternoon wanting their shop signed for the grand opening...
I don't know about Samink but we have been using Jetbest inks through our VJ1604 for about 3 years with no problem.
This looks similarly packaged as Jetbest.

This is almost the same as what happened to ours.
Except ours was still printing the image sent except with a magenta band through it.
The F2 fuse blows to save other more sensitive parts of the machine.
It looks like the head has come to the end of its life and needs replaced (printheads last 5...
No is the simple answer.
Do not even think about getting it printing as the materials are expensive and do not work that well outdoors.
As for use as a plotter, Yes they were a good plotter but I think it will prove difficult finding spares for this machine.
On another note maybe some of the...
The board is situated under the machine. It is were the network cable plugs in. It is hinged at the front of the machine. There are a lot of cables to disconnect so I would take photos and label them. On a subnote their is no way you can solder the fuses in without removing the complete board.

A nod in the right direction is to get a tec into fit a new head and maintenance station... At least!
Unless you know what your doing, your average sign dude/mechanic cannot repair these machines unless you have had a lot of experience.

If you look at the attached picture the F2 fuse is located at the very top right inbetween the 3 capacitors (black things) and the single capacitor.
They are really really small (I have seen bigger grains of sand), in fact to call these fuses is a joke as I expect fuses to be replaceable fairly...
Double check the head is sealing on the capping station as I have found that badly mounted heads can be an issue.
Digiprint is your best bet for cheapest price for the DX5 head.
I would bite the bullet as 5 years is the maximum life span for one of these heads.
As for installing different heads...
I agree with Gino on this one.
These machines can become a real money pit especially with such a long time of inactivity.
I also would suggest getting a Tec. to the machine, even just to advise what needs changed especially if you are inexperienced with this machine.
It is looking like it needs...
Hi
Looking at your sample prints, you have only two options.
1. Print everything at the highest setting/resolution you have (much slower but will make up for nozzle loss).
2. Fit a new head and head cables.
The head is a consumeable as it does a lot of work and will defintley need replaced...
I am concerned as you say before this issue you had a "communication error".
Why would replacing the head rectify this problem?
Two months is a very long time for one of these printers to be turned off completley.
Maybe it is a motherboard, powerboard or commboard issue.
If the machine has been...
Has anyone had any issues with Signlab 9.1 new 1.06 patch?
They have already rectified one of the problems with a replacement dll file, but I am still having issues.

I believe the yellow is also on this head.
Can you manualy oull ink through the magenta/yellow head?
Is only yellow coming through?
Seems vey odd that even just a few nozzles of magenta have not come back after only 4 days unused.
Is the cartridge securely pushed in and can you manually with a...
Make sure the head is clean and the maintenance station and wiper is clean also.
Also is the printer spitting on the spitting pad and is the pad relaitivley new?
I cannot remember if spitting can be knocked off, I know you can get it to spit onto the material or the spit pad.
If it is not...
It is not just about the vehicle or sq foot area it is also the material that is used.
For instance the difference betwwen using 3M IJ-180 and Arlon DPF 6000 is about 50% more fitting time.
Arlons material is no way as forgiving as 3Ms and takes a lot longer to apply.
I am always suspect about...
