Just checking in to see how many of you have ever utilized a maker space. We've had access to our vocational center's machine shop for the past two years during their evening courses for apprentices.
It's against school policy to make "salable" items at the center, but we do a lot of R&D...
TLDR main article, but a lot of schools have athletic booster or alumni clubs that raise funds independently of tax dollars. We deal with a lot of organizations that have "friends" groups that do this very thing and they're usually fairly well-funded.

We only do engraved stone work. As noted above, Black Beauty will not work. You'll need to use Aluminum Oxide abrasive...60 to 100 grit, depending on your stencil material. AO is costly, so make sure you have a way to contain the abrasive so you can use it again.

Cricut has brought the Gilette (razor blade) business model to the 21st century.
To the OP, the craft fair market is a bloody one at that. You're better off doing the stuff a Cricut can't touch.

Ditto to some type of floating floor. The anti-vibration mounts are primarily to isolate a heavy vibrating machine so it doesn't walk across the floor. Used on a machine like a printer, I think it would still transmit vibration unless it is a very low durometer rubber.

Yep...pad printing. Rotary pad printing is the ultimate way to go for your project. Do a google search for the subject and see if anybody near you comes up.
