A laminator will work, but costly... If you want a low cost alternative, look at the Vevor manual cold laminators, a lot of people use them for mounting prints and application tapes, they come in a few sizes up to 51 inch, and they're only a few hundred bucks...

I think solvent printers are superior for production, but they come with a couple of cons. They require more maintenance, and don't do well sitting idle. If you don't have enough work to keep them going almost daily, you might be better off with a latex. You can get new entry level 54" latex...

Here's the most common causes of drop outs that you have to keep chasing around. You can probably do a head soak and get it back, but if it returns... Head caps. You already replaced them, also check around the head to make sure there isn't any dried up ink buildup that'll prevent the cap tops...

Back in my Roland days I used the same style bulk system as brightbanner does. These systems are only a couple hundred bucks or less, and if you have to get chips, you'll probably spend less than $250, plus inks of course. Plenty of places sell them, you can even get them on Amazon today. Easy...

Adding one to the arsenal was the best investment ever! Better alternative than messing up a $20,000+ laminator for laying graphics, a single roller for our Seal alone cost about 3x what this was :oops:

Have you tried different profiles to see if it changes? Did you put the head in the high position and forget to lower it? Odd that it would be just the one color and the cyan test prints are ok... On a single head unit things usually stay uniform across colors, but there are other adjustments...
