I had a similair problem last week and thought I had fried the firewire card in the printer. Turned out to be the firewire cable. I think the cables can be as fusy as the cards so I would try a new one. SC

I think you will find mine is a JV3-160S (3 head) not a 4 head SP. By the looks of things the SP bracket is longer, which is what I have got. SC

Could be something as simple as a bit of fluff on the head. Have a look at the head check for anything amiss. Also wipe around the outer edge of it with solvent cleaner so it seals well against the cap top then maybe soak it for a while. I had a deflection on my 1604 this morning but after a...
