If you look closely when head is on high their is some spitting sometimes.

We are situated in Cumbria, England which is the wettest place in a very wet Country!
I reckon it is the warehouse also were the supplier stores the material.

Our Mutoh VJ1604 is behaving itself at the moment.
But we are having problems with head strikes.
I have checked everything on the machine such as :-
Temperatures on and across all heaters(front, middle and rear).
I have unclipped all the rubber rollers and cleaned them.
Cleaned the grit roller...
Is this supposed to be a part of a red curve?
I have never seen that before.
It could be a wiring issue as you have had the print head replaced.
Maybe it has come loose.
I'm struggling on this one!

So what was the point of sending samples out if the material you will be selling is now different?!!!
I think you better had start sending samples to who you originally sent samples to, so as to confirm it is "better".
Also if a supplier is sending a sample for wrap I always insist on a matching...
We design in Signlab which is set RGB and save as a Level3 EPS and print out using Wasatch 6.2.
We set up colour management right at the start and colours have been consistent.
Calibrate Monitors and Scanners so at least you are starting at a set base point.
Colour management is all about a...
We get this all the time.
No amount of Artistry or programming skills will improve what you been supplied.
Insist that for in order for their vehicle too look professional you must have a lot higher quality image to base this design on.
Their is nothing you can do with what is supplied as once...
We have a 5 year old Valuejet 1604 and it has been a rock.
The only real difference is the bigger size 64" versus 54".
Also the 1324 does not have subtanks for the inks so if a cartridge runs out it has to be replaced or you can empty the ink line.
Also make sure you have a matching sized...
I hope this is not a wrap you applied!!!
If not charge by the hour and state that it may need a re paint afterwards.
I personally will not remove graphics/wrap of customers vehicles as they are never willing to pay for the time and materials used.
Customers think us signmakers have magic...
Well after another warmish day yesterday the encoder wheel distorted again.
So it was off with the cover and check it all out.
It turns out the encoder disk gets distorted as the heat goes up and it touches the black sensor causing jumps.
I loosened the 2 screws hold the assembly to the shaft...
This is some info for everyone with a Valuejet.
We have always had a few issues with the encoder wheel on our VJ1604.
As of yesterday I have found the main problem and it turns out to be the temperature of the print room.
Yesterday was a very sunny day and the central heating had kicked in also...
i would contact your ink/card supplier and see what they can do.
I stupidly upgraded the firmware on mine from 1.09 to 2.00 and that created the same problem you have.
I was told you now couldn't run third party inks on it but I have now installed a bulk ink system which runs great using jetbest...
Well since installing the bulk ink system in our machine I have more than quartered the cost of original inks.
OEM Mutoh 440ml ink cartridges work out to be nearly $170 a cart in the UK!
I am buying ink at about $50 for 440ml now!
That sort of saving of nearly $500 a complete set cannot be...
Well I ran Lyson for nearly 2 years after our warranty finished until at the start of the year stupidly I updated the firmware on my VJ 1604.
I was told this would sort the problem I had with the sub tank valves sticking. All the firmware did was lock out further the smart cards and Lyson...

How long have you had this machine?
As your questions:-
"How do I perform a nozzle check?" and "How do perform a head soak?"
Should be a fairly routine procedure!
Seems a bit strange you can replace cap tops, wipers and dampers but can't do a nozzle check or head soak.
The big...
