We use the edge guards and the curling pads. Not sure about the vacuum, will have to ask my print guy. Also suggested we back the heat off a bit. Seems the material is getting so hot it's sticking on the upper side somehow.
We often get head strikes with our 360 after 8-10ft. It's on the take-up too! We don't typically do large volume printing but not sure I'd trust it anyway.
Ok, to be fair I have found that the package included fonts and various logos in eps format. The problem with the eps files is that they contain "gradients" or more appropriate terms "fountain fills". Never ever make any logo containing fountain fills an eps. Does not make them universal. I will...
Here's another! Received a wrap package from a corporation. It's very well organized pdf with links to the actual wrap files. So what's the problem? The pdf has several options to choose from partial to full wrap. We need to check art files for the partial wrap. Zip file is 1.5GB! The full wrap...
Once you change the contour color to the one you want go Tools/Save Settings as Default.
I use a macro to create bleeds. Select the item/items you need a bleed on then run the macro. Bam! Creates a thick outline same color as filled
I agree here. Also ensure your printer is printing the marks fully. I've had marks print really thin do to media feed issues. You can go over the marks with a ruler and ink pen if need be.
Hmmm... we use Sihl TriSolv 3686 which is probably the same thing just the glossy version. Haven't had any issues on our HP 360. What profile do you use?
Sounds like a print "mirrored" then laminate then stick to acrylic. Add a white "blockout" vinyl with clear adhesive to the backside of that and trim off the edges.
Ditto on that here too. Might also consider what the customer expects to see from the other side. "Clear" adhesive will allow white to be seen from behind whereas other vinyls can be had with a "blockout" which is gray.
Our sales staff (party of 1) who is very well versed in the various substrates available, as well as, pricing is the first person customers come in contact with when entering the door. "I'd like to talk to a person about getting a sign made"....hmmm
or "I'd like to talk to a designer about this...
Not sure I get this one. What's wrong with 48"? nearly all our stock is 4' x 8'. I understand that mounting a print to stock at 48" may be a little tight but not usually a problem. Unless of course the design includes stupid prepress marks whereby making it larger than 48". Just requires extra...
• not knowing the difference between raster and vector
• cut ready vector vs. just vector
• not knowing how/why fonts need to be converted
• sending a pdf or eps that's really just a jpg called a pdf or eps
• Hate all Adobe files but I can use them
• flattened psd files that need changes made
