  1. Suggestions Your Opinion - HP Latex 115 Print & Cut vs Separates

I have taught high school commercial art. Go with separates, that way you can have more than one group working at a time if your lessons are organized as modules. You can have four or five groups working at one time and also the ability for a new student to drop in at any time during year and...
  2. Printing eco solvent Wall mural in my son's bedroom. Need Advice

Fellers, tubelight, etc. Doesn't have to be phototex brand, there are a few other brand names but fabric is what you want. If you but seam vinyl it will most likely shrink back after a bit exposing your seams. Phototex is very easy to apply. Grab a big squeegee and let er rip.
  3. Printing eco solvent Wall mural in my son's bedroom. Need Advice

I would air it out for a day or so. I also as others have suggested would use a fabric product like phototex. No laminatiing and removable with zero damage to wall. You can overlap, slice and but hinge panels.
  4. Are sign professionals just giving up?

The library, ie, the potty (first thing every morning), Facebook because like the doctors office, all the magazines are at least a decade old.
  5. Are sign professionals just giving up?

Todays example. I'm in the library this morning perusing facebook and on one of the pages pops up someone asking if any one does decals for those steel cups that seem to be everywhere. You should have seen how many cricket owners as well as "shop" owners jumped on it. If you have a 12" plotter...
  6. Are sign professionals just giving up?

When the computer entered this industry it went straight in the toilet. Those of us in the trade for years had to learn the new way just so we could speed up production to justify the lower pricing the new generation was putting out there because of their speed. The problem is the newer...

  8. Question Flex Face

For vinyl, roll. Printed not so much. I used to do two rather large movie theater frames with new releases. 14'x20'. Just install what was sent to theater. They were all printed and all came folded in boxes. By the time we laid them in the morning sun and removed old faces they were just fine...

Had some yahoo a few years back call and tell me to remove my sign. It was his business name. I asked him if his name was Fleming, no? Then you change your name. I was born with this one, lol. He told me his business name was "Signs & Graphics". Still gives me a chuckle. On another note, I am...

  17. Wall mural with no overlap, butt registration?

I guess you could. With styrene you most likely wont cut through to wall, with phototex as backer you might.
  18. New Guy Work order

been using this for a very long time. Excuse the scribble but you get the idea
  19. Wall mural with no overlap, butt registration?

With phototex you can put a small strip of thin styrene under the overlap and then cut with new xacto. It gives you a surface to cut without damaging wall. Do it a few times at your shop on scrap to get the feel for it and let er rip. I have one customer wall that has had four 8'x14' murals on...
