  1. Why is my Graphtec just unloading my roll when I ask it to cut?

Sounds like you have it reading origin from rear instead of front.
  2. thoughts on non-oem ecosol ink?

Eeesh. My experience was just the opposite. OEM was clogging my magenta. It was actually a widespread problem with orig seiko carts. I changed to nazdar and it cleared up on its own. Ran them for years with great success. Did the guys from Nazdar make it right with your friend?
  3. thoughts on non-oem ecosol ink?

When I had my seiko and it was out of warranty I used Nazdar inksets. Actually ran better and with less trouble than oem.
  4. In dire need for a supplier of .080 alum

Ford sheet metal in Jacksonville. If you do enough qty in a year I would get a shear and do it myself.
  5. What kind of work vehicle do you use?

Picked up an f600 service body 40' lift a few years ago for under 5k, old but solid truck. They're out there. Most days my pickup and on strictly office days my old vette. I did rent a towable the other day due to access on site, great tool but prefer my truck. Anything I cant reach I sub out or...
  6. Onyx setup for Screen printing film

I print direct from either corel or signlab to film. I am currently using an epson workforce all in one that has 13x19 output. When I send files the are all in rgb black and setup is color print. I tell it it is printing on matte paper. Nice rich black film.
  7. What is a good 60" laminator for $2,000

"I am 17 years old and just purchased a hp54" large format printer and cutter" You go kid, at 17 I was screen printing using hand cut stencils and hand painting signs, doors and vehicles with quills and starving to death. Couldn't have financed a pogo stick.
  8. Any Idea How I'd reach this sign?

Drop frame and signs. Attach panels. Re attach frame to sign. The frame should attach from the back side to poles so you should be able to get it from behind.
  9. Need Help Printing on practical board or mdf...

Sounds like you will need a custom machine. If that is a possibility maybe a vacuum hold down will solve a portion of warp issues.
  10. getting a mounting pattern up on a stucco dryvit surface

And the winner is......coro and super 77. Although I use EIFS tape instead of gorilla. Just seems to work better for me.
  11. Question Are you a bitter, cranky old sign guy?

All. Damn. Three. But I'll be making rum soon so I will either be less cranky or it will seriously intensify. :-)
  12. What would you do....?

Going to run into that more and more. Now you know. Always make sure a magnet will work for it's intended placement. It's a buddy, just eat it and move on.
  13. Printing in a cold shop

Yep, 4 walls and a heater for your stock and printer. Material is cold enough that it buckles when the printers' heaters do their thing because of sharp increase in temp of vinyl.
  14. Question SW Paint to plotter vinyl color comparison?

Your best bet is to get a paint sample and to start diggin thru swatch books for vinyl. Just did a job that we tried to match digital print to paint using sw rgb formula. Nightmare.
  15. Need Help Printer Cutter for non-graphics business?

Buy the machine. You have already made up your mind so get off the fence and in the trenches.
  16. How do you send large format files or reduce the file size?

Been using hightail many years for free. Works just fine.
  17. Need Advice on how to cut acrylic sheets with circular saw

Triple chip carbide with tons of teeth. Good strong saw, clamped on straight edge, cover board if necessary. One of the first tools I purchased when opening the doors was a panel saw. That and a large table saw are pretty much must haves.
  18. ACM Backlit Panel

    Triple sweet.
  19. Exacto Blades Not Sharp Anymore

The one I just stuck myself with trying to get it out of a new pack was plenty sharp. ;-)
