You can pick up a used pigment printer, usually of the 44" variety cheap and use roll film for over size or get a desktop. I have an epson workforce printer that prints 13x19 sheets makes good positives for t shirt work.
I've been screen printing for almost 40 years. I stay away from political signage. They want it too cheap and you have to threaten imminent death to get paid.
Used flexi in the past, just not my cup of tea. Have many friends that use it with no issues. Personally I use signlab and it does all I need with a minimum of trouble over the years. I also have corel and illy and ps. All have their uses but SL is my main program.
