  1. Enroute Gerber help

Good evening All I am looking at Enroute 5.0 to run textured panels on my Gerber Sabre 408. Enroute tells me they will be faster than the Gerber software but can't tell me how much faster. If there is anyone out there running Enroute on a Gerber Sabre that would be willing to run the file and...
  2. Sabre 408 Chatter

Which doesn't mean the cause wasn't the material moving around during cutting. All your doing by slowing down the acceleration is slowing down the speed. I don't know about you, but I can't afford to run my machine with slow accel. It's also tough on the tool bits. When my lead screws were...
  3. Gerber Sabre 408

ArtCAM will work but it's pricey. Vetric supposedly won't but I think it will. I have a PP for Vectric but haven't tried it yet. ArtCAM has it's limitations (at least 8.0) as well. It doesn't handle tool offsets like Artpath so it can be interesting to cut out whatever 3d model you've machined...
  4. Cut a circle in half

    Thanks Everyone for the ideas.
  5. Cut a circle in half

Hi All In Omega, is there an easy way to cut a circle in half? Thanks
  6. Gerber Sabre 408 & ProfileLab

What does Profilelab say? I notice on their website that the Gerber is not one of their supported machines.
  7. Gerber Sabre 408

Be careful with G code on the Sabre. While it will run reasonably well, there are some odd things, for instance it won't do a simultaneous G02 or G03 and a Z move. I have some nice slots cut in my table from playing with it. :) What firmware version are you running?
  8. Gerber Sabre 408

No, but the Sabre is an odd animal. Will ProfileLab output G-code?
  9. Bit for aluminum composite

    Onsrud O flute.
  10. Omega snap

Good afternoon All. I'm an Omega rookie (lots of experience with ArtPath though). I have a couple of questions: 1. Does Omega have a snap to point or snap to node? 2. What is the easiest way to draw an arc when all I know is the length and the height? Omega 4.0, Vista Thanks in advance.
  11. Gerber Sabre 408

Did you buy the 408? I've had one for almost 2 years. It's a pretty decent machine once you get to know it's quirks.
  12. Height / Perimeter

Good morning. A bit of an odd question, but is there anywhere to find the height/perimeter ratio for different fonts? A customer wants a price on cnc cut letters per vertical inch and I'd like to better understand the relationship between the two measurements. Thanks for any and all comments.
  13. Printing across multiple sheets

    Good idea. Thanks.
  14. Printing across multiple sheets

    Yes, sorry I didn't specify.
  15. Printing across multiple sheets

Good afternoon all. I have a pattern that is 4 inches by 54 inches and wonder if it`s possible to print it across multiple sheets of paper to get an actual size pattern. I have X4. Thanks.
  16. Diamond question

    Thanks! It worked a treat.
  17. Diamond question

Good afternoon All A have a number of diamond shapes. I need to place a smaller diamonds inside them with a 0.75 border between them on the sides, not the tips. Is there a quick way to do this? Thanks in advance.
  18. Perplexing Gerber Sabre problem

Solved OK, the lower left corner was -174,-355 or thereabouts. That's inches, not mm. I changed it to 0,0 and the part ran just fine. Thanks Tony. :U Rock:
  19. Perplexing Gerber Sabre problem

Thanks, I'll try that. I did notice that in my file the lower left was negative for both X and Y. Dropout
  20. Perplexing Gerber Sabre problem

Hi Tony The part in question was part of a larger job and was nested with other panels. As the parts didn't work, I added them to later panels and had to set them up again. Dropout
