We are trying to print an AI file with some transparent colors in the file onto a darker colored vinyl and would like to use a white underbase at a light percentage to back up the solid colored areas as well as the areas of 50% transparency. Possible using the underbase or primer options in VPM?
"nothing bugs me more than 3M's crazy prices for these things..."
Thus the reason for the original post. Hoping someone had come across a more reasonably priced alternative to the, while not necessarily overpriced, expensive tools.
From what I read here no one does. Almost like the market is...
Anyone found some decent quality wall wrap application tools? 3M make some wonderful tools (and we have quite a few of them) for it, but their price is quite high. We are looking to make additions to that kit but keep costs in check a bit as we don't do wraps of any kind all that often...
How many of each design are you looking to print? Exactly how fine are your lines?
I run an Epson S80600 printer at work. I know with multiple passes set that I could get a solid white down below a 1pt line. Black would just need the white printed as an undercoat first as a base, but should be...
Title pretty much says it all. WE have a customer with some nicely built Illustrator files that print beautifully when dropped direct in to VPM but they would like us to contour cut them as well. They have a cut path in the files I just can't get VPM to notice that it is there.
Thoughts?
Looking for large (60", 61", 62" width) blockout adhesive vinyl, white on both sides, for use on the backside of some printed acrylic panels.
Our normal supplier has told us they are three weeks out.
Any ideas?
We are in Washington state.
Running a SolJet 645EX at work and have an interesting problem.
About half the time when it finishes a print and the carriage parks itself we get a continuous squeal coming from the area under the control panel (motor). Not real loud, yet annoying after a bit of time.
It can be made to go...

Looking for a source for a t-slot cutter for a menu sign, so that the client can slide in new prices, menu items etc. This would be made from 6mm Sintra.
Belin makes one that would do the job (18015) but would require us to cut the center portion out first, then cut the slots with the Belin...
Not too sure from your description exactly where you are placing the spring. I ran three older Graphtec plotters just like yours, with various blade holders. In EVERY holder the spring simply slid over the lower portion of the blade, which was then set in the holder, jiggled a bit to make sure...

I have used this system on a Summa T-750 52" plotter. It works wonderfully and as automatic as one could hope for. Simply set the vinyl in the cutter relatively...
idsign,
Try that same import but import using the PS, PRN, EPS - Postscript Interpreted filter instead of the plain EPS filter. Most EPS file will work just fine this way. Been doing it this way from version 8 through to 12 now.
I have no clue why Corel even has the plain EPS import. It...
Mutoh support
GraphiXtreme, you might want to check with Northwest Sign Supply for Mutoh support. I have always had great experiences with them, both for day to day ordering and with print issues with a Mutoh Falcon 2 outdoor.
