  1. I wish Dodge could make their emblems a little damn bigger *sarcasm*

I was thinking this same this yesterday after seeing the tailgate of a new tundra. Personally, i hate large branding whether on a truck or a sweatshirt.
  2. How to remove Generic Vinyl 1 from Versaworks

Generic Vinyl 1 is the baseline vinyl. It is tied to the color charts that you can print from versaworks, so I do not think you can get rid of it as easily as the others.
  3. Black lines in print - mostly the white area

try lightly wiping the media with a dryer sheet...very lightly.
  4. Printhead manifold screw

I had the carriage cover off of the vp300 today when I noticed the printhead manifold screw for the black head is backed off all the way. The rest of the heads are all tightened, so I figure someone screwed up...but I just want to be sure it isnt supposed to be like that for whatever weird...

  7. Used Versacamm

Id probably go with a 30 unless I get a deal that I can pass up on a 54. A 30 should do nicely for now. Any other weaknesses that the 300 is prone to I should look for?
  8. Used Versacamm

Hey guys, Ive been outsourcing the larger jobs that come along, and still will for some time. But I finally decided its time to pick up a machine, to do small one offs, etc, and found a few used ones that Im eyeing. Its either going to be a sp/vp300(i) or 540, depending on the deal. Ill be...

  10. Box truck job

Some good points made. the last thing I want is to be liable, so it will be the way to go. Anyone recommend a particular one? I took a look at the mentioned ones as well as a couple of others. Im leaning towards the akland frames. Now I would need someone to print the banners....each...
  11. Box truck job

If I was to go the dibond route, it wouldnt just be held on using the channels, it would be screwed into the trucks posts down the center of the dibond as well.
  12. Box truck job

Nice, that sounds like what I was thinking. A semi permanent type deal, that wouldnt be to difficult to change out. Im thinking about just outsourcing the printing and doing the install, anyone here print and ship? Prints would be ~ 30-36" wide x 120" one for each side. Still thinking...
  13. Box truck job

Thanks, while I do like that, he wants signs that are more durable and can be reused year to year for a min of 5 years. Signs would be mounted on trucks and changed out to alternate sign in late summer, then the other would be remounted the following spring. I figured vinyl and lam over a...

  17. Starting out...with an inkjet?

The guy is a buddy of mine. Ive been doing his graphics for years, and was just doing his spring promo banners, which are up for maybe 3 months at a time, so I told him that since these are Temp signs, I want to test out signs on his vehicles. Told him to pay for materials only after the...
  18. Starting out...with an inkjet?

Thanks for the helpful responses guys. As far as subbing it out...if it were a sign or large job or anything that was meant to be permanent, I would definately go that way, or just refer him to someone. But since they are temporary promotional banners, I figured it might be a great way to get...
