Hi all, We have been having a issue recently after reinstall the driver for our Mimaki CG160FX plotter in Signlab 9.1. Signlab is now assigning cutter profile to the few colors on the color palette. We have never had this happen before. Is there an option to override or turn this off in Signlab 9.1.

Anyone know this font. I know i've used it before but i can't remember it's name

i'd love to ring and talk to them just a bit hard as i'm in Australia..... also thank you for the offer of the samples... i'll see what i can source through Australian suppliers as to different versions of the product. i take it that everyone is happy with the results of clear shield products...

yeah i found there is two types as well... clear shield which is for solvents so it says "Use On Digital Output: Solvent Based Ink, Electrostatic, Thermal, Pigmented Ink (non water-sensitive)" clear jet "Excellent for Water-Sensitive Inks, Media, Materials, and Products"

ok so we haven't had our HP for to long and we are just trying to work out what liquid laminate to use for the inks.... with our old solvent we would use Clear Shield when we need it but i seen that clear shield is not suppose to be use with water based inks. so what has everyone been using...

how did your test go for colour and the print adhering?.... could you sractch it off with ease?

hi bigfish have you used either product on the HP's yourself? who is making ultraflexx as i haven't heard of that one through any suppliers around here as yet?

done that and they don't know much about the HP laxtex inks... i thought best to ask here and get some first hand experience

also from what i have found the suppliers of phototex here in australia have two type. one is solvent and the other is for water based... i take it that the HP machines would print onto water based phototex?

well i find it surprising that is not more of an issue.... that is public spent money going to people that are not the best person for the job... in most other countries around the world government departments would get lynched for going with favoritism over best professional contractor.

i've never had one complaint from a client about IJ40.... only my boss here about the price of it and wanting cheaper options had complaints about LG, oracal and the most recent being some Automark brand that we used a few rolls of i must say i loved oracal in normal vinyls and translucent but...

our next test we are doing is the difference between 3M IJ40 vs IJ35.... have to see how the 35 goes in the UV we have around here

over laminate for IJ40 was IJ40-114 and LG over laminate was LP3912g i do work in the north part of australia so our UV is rather high but still it showed us 3M is still a good staple for us to stick with
