I am in need of some help here.
I have a HP 315 latex printer.
I am trying to print a nice colorful "RED" on Oracal 5600 reflective material. It comes out either looking orange and to light in color. I am printing in CMYK and the adjustments I make tend to make it darker than I need it. My...
The company that has the capabilities to replicate the Pierce font and hand spun "Real Engine Turn Gold" is called FireGold. He used to work for Pierce as a contractor doing all the Gold for them.

Sure looks like a Pierce font.
What are you trying to make? If it is Engine Turn Gold I know the company that makes it or maybe he can assist you in getting the "wording" to complete you job.
I have convinced other fire department to find fonts that are industry standard so anyone can make...
Looks real familiar. All I do is fire truck graphics.
Can you tell me who is the manufacturer of the fire truck (Pierce, E1, Alexis)
Some manufactures have there own fonts set and is proprietary to them.
I just purchased a HP 315 latex printer and have the need to print a nice deep red using CMYK (0,100,100,0) on reflective material. Seem like it is printing with a orange tint and is not have vibrant as the 3M (ruby red).
Does anyone have any ideas that may help me out.
Thanks,
Allen
I do a lot of fire truck graphics. To pick a specific color is hard because there are so many "RED" colors. Your best bet is to take your color chart and match the color up to the rig. Do this in the daylight in the sun to get the best match.

I never had a problem until recent. For the most part these are new installs on fire dept. trucks. I guess cleaning varies from dept to dept as there are different companies out there selling some soap/wax cleaners. I don't have a problem with 3M or a standard brightline vinyl.
Still annoyed.
I am experiencing edge rolling days after I install Orafol 5600 reflective. I currently print on the white reflective with a Mutoh VJ-1324 eco solvent printer. I never had this issue until recently and now I am getting frustrated that I need to go and redo completed installs. I am not getting...
Here is a little bit of what I am doing.
My printer is a VJ-1324 Mutoh printer.
My Cutter is a Graphtec FC8600-130
I can print on the "Real Gold" material with no problems. The registration marks are printed in black for the cutter to read.
When I go to cut the printed "Real Gold", the...
Looks good and that is what I have seen in the past.
I just took it a step further to align the swirl with the character.
I guess if they like it then we are all good.
Have a great day.

Hey Letterman, thanks for your 2 cents.
I have seen some of the reflective engine turn gold but I have not seen it as detailed as the one I provide. I was not impressed with what I saw.
Can you send me a sample of the image / material you use for me to see. I hate to reinvent the wheel if ya...
I have created a new custom Reflective Engine Turn Gold Lettering.
