  1. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

I'd call your local Roland Dealer and speak to them, they usually have a tech on staff or could refer one to you.
  2. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

Alright, typically when it's the fuse, it will print the nozzle test, just not print anything else. My guess is that the head might be shot / clogged, but doesn't hurt to try the fuse first. You could try to connect a syringe to the line after the cap top and try to pull ink and see if anything...
  3. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

Does it print a nozzle test?
  4. Roland VS 540 missing colour channels

Maybe check the cap top condition and if it hasn't been changed in the last 6 months, start there and replace it. You could always try a 48 hour head soak.
  5. 1614 nothing prints

Yes, unfortunately, they are too good to believe. We tried some for our Roland at one time as my Boss wanted to save money, but ended up costing us more as one caused more troubles and we ended up in the end paying the extra and getting a genuine head. In all honesty, the price tag looks bigger...
  6. 1614 nothing prints

By refurbished, hope you don't mean a Aliexpress pick-up, as you get what you pay for from them, never good. That head could have ink or something in the circuitry causing a short which then blows the fuse.
  7. Roland VG VG2 640 Damper question

Not certain about O-rings, but it certainly sounds like either an air leak in the line or you need a new damper.
  8. Light gray completely clogged

    Glad to hear.
  9. Roland VP-VS, where can I buy cutter pad ? O.5mm

Best bet would be as mentioned above then. Mark Snelling does sell Roland Equipment and might be able to help.
  10. Roland VP-VS, where can I buy cutter pad ? O.5mm

Where are you located? If in Canada, my supplier might have some, as I just bought a couple last week for my VS-300i.
  11. Light gray completely clogged

I'd recommend changing it every 6 months. If it's that old, it would be worth changing, but you can do the 48 hour head soak first, and then change it, that way it will have a fresh cap top.
  12. Light gray completely clogged

You could try a 48 hour head cleaning. Another thing to make sure is that the Cap top isn't too old, might need to replace it.
  13. SP 300i : doesn't do self cleaning properly...

With these printers, you cannot really leave them for a few days without use, these printers want to run, they don't do well with prolong no use. If you're just talking about over the weekend, you should be okay. I've noticed over the years that it doesn't appear my SP-300V's do much when they...
  14. SP 300i : doesn't do self cleaning properly...

Not a fix to your issue, but I always do a regular cleaning every morning and then a manual cleaning once a week, even if my printer hasn't had much use that week. When one of my printers isn't used at all one day I typically try to do another regular cleaning mid day. Even if the periodic...
  15. Roland VS Damper change

Best to get your hands on a Service Manual, it will give you the steps to do it. These are one of the hardest to change, as they are inside the head and you must make sure to not drip any ink on it or it can cause damage or ruin the head.
  16. SG-540 Print Head Issues

By no results, do you mean nothing printed? Or did you mean, no better result? If you're now not getting anything from any channel, either you blew something or ruined the head.
  17. SG-540 Print Head Issues

Although it's coming out of all the channels, are you certain it coming out of all the nozzles, it will go to the path of least resistance. You can certainly try new ink cartridges and see if it will help, but I haven't heard of expired ink making it so it doesn't come out, it usually causes...
  18. SG-540 Print Head Issues

You could try a 48 hour head soak with topping up the liquid after 24hrs, then see if that helps.
  19. Help with making aluminum signs!

Just out of curiosity, do you know the name of the Printer?
  20. Seeking Advice - Large Format Printer for Occasional Use

As everyone here has stated, it wouldn't be a good thing to have any kind of printer just sitting for prolong periods. It would be much cheaper in the long run to just sub out those prints. The maintenance costs alone could be a lot or at least wasted consumable costs if you do as mentioned on a...
