colors off
I've gone so far as to adjust my design to compensate for colors being off. It will look bad on screen but prints great. Takes some test prints but once you get it it's on.

also check to see if you have double shapes on top of each other. I've imported files before that have multiple copies on top of each other for some reason.
Use Goldmine here. Very similar to ACT but it's what I've used over the years so no learning curve. If I had to start from scratch would probably use ACT just based on price and popularity of users. As with any contact management program, they are only as good as the info you put in. Keep them...
If they are 100 yd foils they sometimes become "top" heavy. I've had to take out used foil and start fresh, but only happens to me on these large rolls. You can also try rolling out some foil and then rewinding. Again, sometimes rolls get to tight for clutch.
Set up the job from the begining if it's not trashed. Run the plotter without the knife until it gets to the "good" print, pause plotter and reload knife. Should be good.
Sometimes if the plotter crashes and messes up sprocket holes you have to get creative and fix them with some tape.
Had this problem along time ago, seems to me there was a .dll file problem that was easily corrected. You can search Gerber's site for help www.gspinc.com
Import PDF's all the time. If they were created then generated from a vector program (Corel, Illustrator etc) they come in beautiful and fast (like 10 seconds). Using Omega 2.61.
Try different settings? Do you get the same results if generated by Adobe writer? I've even used Primo PDF and get...

Thanks for all the input. I did contact Carrier for a past order and they sent me a CD full of logos that worked out great. Never thought to do the same for this. Have to shake off the cob webs after the holidays. One too many cookies I guess.
