1. BORN IN PARIS. TEX, my dad was stationed there in WW2.
2.parents were 1st generation Americans, meaning my grandparents on both sides was IMMIGRANTS.mother side came from TURIN, ITALY, father side came from RUSSIAN.
3.so iam 2nd generation American.
4.most of my live was spent in a small town 40 miles south of PITTSBURGH, called AVELLA, PA.
5.left PA in 1980, moved to Sarasota, fl where i lived for 19 years.
6.1st grade teacher told my parents that...they had an artist to raise.
7. didnt see a indoor bath room till 5TH GRADE!!!!!
8.never seen a school cafeteria. brown bagged till high school then bought lunch at dairy queen across the road from high school.
9.didnt see a SHOWER, TILL 8TH GRADE GYM CLASS, and i was the weird one WHO ALWAYS TOOK A SHOWER...cause i didnt have one at home.
10.never ate a round PIZZA till i was 19 and in the AIR FORCE. all the italian pizza places near stubenville, oh. weirton, w.va. washington pa (nearest cities)all did SQUARE PIECES, HARD CRUST.
11.was given 6 months to live when i was 9, diagnosed with leukemia. got a proper diagnosis from VETERINARIAN STUDENT FORM U of PITT. i had CAT SCRATCH FEVER.
12. was never in a hospital for medical reason, after that till i was 59.
13.was an abused child, physical &verbal.
14.spent most of my youth on a diary farm, was my best freind i met in 5th grade family.
15.worked in a steel mill.
16.worked as a draftsman.
17 worked NAPA AUTO PARTS 15 yrs, mostly outside sales.
18.hada body/fender shop.
19.inherited a biker bar.and rode......and partied ))))))
20.did REHAB....went in as client, left as a counselor.
21.was on my way to the STATE PENN, rehab, then wound up going to PENN STATE as the assistant to art prof.
22.did 23 days in jail, was extradited from fla to pa. no record charges dropped.
23.lived 8 years in MAINE.
24. was gona be a draft dodger in 1965, and go to canada. dad said he would disown me if i didnt go into the military. now iam glad i listened to him. i now have the best health care..MONEY CANT BUY.

1. Born in 59 on Halloween night in New Brighton PA & never left
2. 2nd oldest of 6 kids
3. I was Terry Francona's catcher for a few years growing up (graduated with him) He is a great guy & is the real deal, just ask the folks in Boston
4. When I was 20 my mother left my dad & 3 middle school siblings so I went back home & raised them, they all got college degrees when I was done with them but it was pure hell getting there (youngest owns a 60 million dollar aluminum factory) had to brag a little there
5. Kids & animals love me
6. I can cook all my mother's recipes comes in handy now
7. I used to race a YZ465 till I ran out of money, took up boxing to fill the void
8. I studied voice, guitar & writing from a guy who sold songs to Alabama (never really did anything with it though)
9. Spent 20 or so years in the trenches working on cars, Honda line, Chevy Dodge, lastly Porsche & Audi, it paid the bills but I don't miss it
10. My first car was a white 68 beetle with an fm converter
11. My favorite food is the chinese place down the street from my shop
12. I been married for 22 years
13. 4 years into my marriage my wife quit her job & went to college for journalism
14. I worked designing can labels & ad coupons at night freelance for extra money to pay the bills
15.I have a 16 year old daughter & 5 year old son, my greatest blessings!
16. 4 Months after my wife graduated she started losing her vision slowly over a 3 year period, now she is legally blind, I take good care of her (she told me I do)

here is mine...

1. Born in Los Angeles. Grew up in La Mirada/Buena Park
2. Third child of 4 kids (2 older sisters, one younger brother)
3. Parents only knew each other 6 days before marrying, they are still married. (they don’t recommend it)
4. Have broken many bones, no I am not clumsy.
5. I’m a stutterer, though it’s rare that I bust it out.
6. I am left handed (teachers use to tie my arm to the desk till my mother freaked out on the school)
7. My friends call me “Chab”. (it used to tick me off, I resigned myself to the name after years of being called that)
8. I have 23 aunts and Uncles (1/4 passed away before I was born)
9. I survived Hurricane Iniki and have the t-shirt to prove it.
10. I saved 2 peoples lives.
11. Quite a few people say I am a really good cook (especially my Thai Food and yearly Tamale cook-off)
12. I was a night club disc jockey for many years. (still have a DJ set-up, have not played it in over a year)
13. I’m a collector, was obsessed with vinyl records (over 25k) I also love books and magazines about design.

24. I helped a rape victim that was running down the highway in the middle of nowhere. I had to park my car in traffic to get people to stop and call 911.
25. My wife, who already was dealing with cancer was brutally raped and mutilated, the guy was caught last year and sentenced to only 8 years.

Rick . . . How is your wife ?

Head wise she is doing okay, body wise not so good. She has had a few reconstructive surgeries but the trauma was so severe she is pretty much heavily medicated and bed ridden unless she has good enough days to walk around. Her goal right now is getting more time for rapists. I won't doubt she will do it too, she was on the cops for so long after they fumbled the case that they almost had to catch the guy. I had permission to add that, we have been dealing with that for the past 5 years so we are learning not to avoid it or bring too much attention to it.

1. I’m a neat freak. My house and my truck are always clean. I wash my truck almost everyday. (It’s black)

[Just Another Sign Guy]

1. in kindgergarten i was quoted in the newspaper by quoting our family moto "we're dirt poor but we're proud"...my father was not amused.

2. i was legally emancipated at 15yrs old and moved out on my own.

3. i started a sign company in my garage that grew to over 35 employees.

4. that business was named after my dog..people always asked what the significance of the initials in the name were for.

5. i have friends my age that are grandparents or who have children in college and my only daughter just turned 1 year old...she is my world.

6. i have crossed the columbia river bar in February in a 24' sailboat..i don't recommend it..to anyone.

7. i have bungee jumped so many times that i quit counting (more than 500 times).

8. i am petrified of heights.

9. i have broken more bones in my body than anyone i have ever met.

10. i have had more stitches than anyone i have ever met (2,000 from one 'incident')

11. i have given myself stitches while on a solo offshore voyage (with the help of a physician talking me through it on the radio)..i don't recommend it..to anyone.

12. i am colorblind..lol.

13. i have road a motorcycle coast to coast and back again...harley davidson

14. i am heavily tattooed..sleeved

23. i won over $5,000 on a $2 exacta bet at the horse races (it was boxed so it cost me $4)...the bet i made was a mistake.

25. i was escorted out of Magic Mountain for strategically grasping the breasts of the lady in front of me (don't worry i knew her...well) on the logride as it snapped the tourist photos that you can purchase at the end...it was proudly displayed for all to see until i asked to purchase a copy of my photo and the clerk 'noticed' it...

1. Never wanted anything to do with the sign business, I watched too many drunk snappers steal One-Shot and brushes from the art supply store I worked in.

2. An ATM machine ate my debit card at 6:00am one Saturday. That started a chain of events that kept me from moving to Ogden, Utah...a place I'd chosen with a dart and a map.

3. I have been driven to the border of a country and ordered across by police officials.

4. I spent the night on a rooftop in Denmark debating whether to just abandon all my belongings in the United States and stay in Denmark. I chose to return home because of a dog. (see below)

5. I've had one great dog in my life...Shiner...who taught me that all the other dogs I'd ever known were just mere animals. Came home because good women are a dime a dozen...good dogs only come along once in a lifetime.

6. I've truly loved two women in my life. One I married, the other is still an amazing friend.

7. I majored in Graphic Fine Arts in college and actually learned a few things, the most surprising was that I'm fascinated by physics. I have almost as many books on physics as design.

8. I scored 99% on my Mensa pre-test and am smart enough to know that I am the dumbest person to ever do that.

9. I have wrestled a live 4' alligator that didn't look alive when I jumped out of the boat onto his back.
