HP Latex R1000 vs Vanguard vk300d

Our shop is looking to upgrade our Oce Arizona 480 and I'm debating between the HP Latex R1000 vs Vanguard vk300d. We are not a production shop. We care about being able to hit Pantone colors as best as possible and no banding. Does anyone have experience with both of these machines?

There won’t be banding on the hp.

HP has a automatic drop detector for defect nozzle replacement. Vanguard doesn't even have a manual way to do that. As long as there are no missing nozzles, it prints nice. But with degrading heads you will get banding.
HP has a unique way of handling white with not much user intervention, where Vanguard's white is a nightmare.

AZ480 There are just few heads.
Arizona 2380XT or GT.

Even a used 2260 or 80 would be much much better than 480.
