There are heaps of places where we can meet. There is a nice little bar not far from reception in the Luxor. When it gets closer we will decide where to meet. I stayed in luxor last time (4 years ago) but went cheap this time and decided on the Excalibur which is a 1 mile walk, but with all the flooding and stuff that went on here I have not played golf since December 15th. so a good walk won't hurt, and besides you don't even see daylight as you just walk through casinos all the way until you get to Mandalay Bay convention center.

we ususally stay at the Excalibur... inexpensive by comparison to others near the convention center, and its tied to the monorail that runs right to the convention.

Thanks for the info Mike, But we really do need to walk after living close to the the hilliest golf club in the world and not being able to play. The recent floods have made the course unplayable. But being the lazy bugger I am, maybe after once or twice i could be tempted to take a ride!!:ROFLMAO:

Should be booking today. Elis Island Rocks. Some of the best ribs I've ever had, well, in a restaurant anyways. Would love to meet up with some of you.

T3, Mandalay bay is number 1 on this link. http://www.lvmonorail.com/ride/route_map/
Just in case you've never been to Vegas, you should KNOW that it's very deceiving and that it takes forever to walk 1 city block. Add to that the heat and the hang over from the night before... Sheeshhh.
I recommend a small cooler filled with beer/ice and cram it all into a back pack. You'll thank me later. In fact, everybody going to Vegas should always do this. ALWAYS!!!

Mandalay is expensive... Luxor is next to Mandalay Bay (like Sticky said, it takes forever to walk a block--heck it takes forever to get out of the casino!) and is about $150 a night. Excalibur is next to Luxor and is about $60 a night.

That said, cab rides on the often clogged Boulevard will take just about as long as walking a block or two.

If your at one of the neighboring hotels like Excalibur or Luxor, you only need to take the tram to get to the convention, NY NY or MGM you just need to walk across the bridge and then take the tram from Excalibur. If you're walking the streets you will be walking far, don't forget to visit the Neon Museum!
