More than likely it is what Royal Sovereign called the Frequency Generator. It is a common fail part on the Sigmonts. It should be located in the area that I have circled in the attached image.

The button is not pressed and it is not beeping. Believe me this was the first thing I checked. I have been in the sign industry for 20 plus years.

oh damn. i misread what you typed. I actually got a perfectly good royal sovereign laminator for free because the stop button was pushed and someone didn't know how to stop the beeping.

The frequency changer is what actually runs the motor that moves the rollers. When it fails the unit will not spin at all.

Check that the front table plate is in correctly, if not it won't run. There is a small safety switch that is activated when table is inserted correctly.
