Does anyone have a good source for EFI Vutek ink? Our ink series is GS3250Lx Udxp. We have a source right now, but nobody to compare them to.

Interesting, I own the same printer, why not EFI ? Is it the price ?
Can you share your current supplier?
Is your ink comparable to the UD XP ink or the UD XA ?

Sorry for all the question is pretty rare these printers get discussed here and I'm just curious.

So I was asked to post this question by our purchaser. We currently use the UD XP ink. I didn't realize we could purchase direct from EFI. I'll ask him.

not sure if they have what you are looking for or not but they are definitely an EFI dealer.
we have bought two EFI printers from them and get our ink through them.
you can reach out to my contact if you want or just call them and ask who ever answers
i would say you are not wasting their time because it could be a potential sale

We currently purchase from the supplier mentioned earlier, but we were recently looking at comparison information from a competitor of EFI for a new flatbed, and the ink price listed for the Vutek was considerably less than what we're paying now. The whole point of the comparison was to show how the new printer was cheaper to operate than the Vutek -- and those "high prices" they list for Vutek ink are lower than what we're being charged. So we're questioning whether we're getting even a reasonable deal from the supplier. It's incredibly hard to compare pricing, though.

The price they gave was $75/liter, but that's low compared to what we're paying.

yes newer printers could have cheaper inks. As older printers get replaced and less people are buying the older ink formulations the cost will go up as they are not making as large of batches.

Ah - good thought. Those are possibly comparisons to the newest Vuteks (apples to apples), not the ones we have.

Sorry for not making that clear. Yeah, we don't use non-OEM inks. Too much risk.
Same, thats why I said it was interesting, not may user will use 3rd party in a printer like this. If anyone got info on them, I'm still interested in looking.
