Does anyone have a good source for EFI Vutek ink? Our ink series is GS3250Lx Udxp. We have a source right now, but nobody to compare them to.
So I was asked to post this question by our purchaser. We currently use the UD XP ink. I didn't realize we could purchase direct from EFI. I'll ask him.Interesting, I own the same printer, why not EFI ? Is it the price ?
Can you share your current supplier?
Is your ink comparable to the UD XP ink or the UD XA ?
Sorry for all the question is pretty rare these printers get discussed here and I'm just curious.
Hey Petepaz, I went on the Nazdar website and cant find anything on EFI, many other machines but not Vutek's.we get our EFI ink from Nazdar

if he can't help you i am sure he can point you in the right direction
yes newer printers could have cheaper inks. As older printers get replaced and less people are buying the older ink formulations the cost will go up as they are not making as large of batches. We currently purchase from the supplier mentioned earlier, but we were recently looking at comparison information from a competitor of EFI for a new flatbed, and the ink price listed for the Vutek was considerably less than what we're paying now. The whole point of the comparison was to show how the new printer was cheaper to operate than the Vutek -- and those "high prices" they list for Vutek ink are lower than what we're being charged. So we're questioning whether we're getting even a reasonable deal from the supplier. It's incredibly hard to compare pricing, though.
Ah - good thought. Those are possibly comparisons to the newest Vuteks (apples to apples), not the ones we have.yes newer printers could have cheaper inks. Sorry for not making that clear. Yeah, we don't use non-OEM inks. Too much risk.My bad I thought this discussion was about 3rd party inks. Not buying OEM inks.
Same, thats why I said it was interesting, not may user will use 3rd party in a printer like this. If anyone got info on them, I'm still interested in looking.Sorry for not making that clear. Yeah, we don't use non-OEM inks. Too much risk.
