I'm a complete d!ck in real life. Well, sometimes... when I'm feeling ornery. But on the interwebs you can't take stuff back. Once you say it, it's out there. I'd rather not have my personal feelings about poor design, or my strong opinions on the net associated with my business name. See what happened when I had an opinion about Corel Draw? So I usually keep those ideals close to my chest and allow my clients to get the best of my knowledge rather than me berating them for bringing in their son's dog's design work in Publisher.
Which is what I try to do in here. Offer strong helpful advice when and where I know it will be used and valued the best. Being overly snarky isn't really helpful in a room full of strangers. Unless there's a thumbs up button, I don't see the need to cause a laugh at other's expense. However, that doesn't mean that I'm sooo not tempted to from time to time. I slip up in here occasionally. But I don't think they are ever personal.
