Need your help testing on our wrap material

I think you dropped your co co puffs. How do you think they test out a 2013 vehicle and give you a warranty on that.

And it's probably exactly how they are testing vinyl. All they need is a s sample then mimic years of sun and rain. Done in five minutes.

When they do the stretch test on vinyl is it on a car? No.

When they are testing a new vehicle is it on the street? No it's on a test track.

When you get a new vinyl in the shop are you holding it for 8 years or do you feel it and test it out. Print on it. Scratch it get it wet. Stretch it. Heat it.

You can pretty much tell with your hands when your holding trash vinyl. You think they do not have better ways of testing.

I'm confused.

you must be confused, because you're wrong.
You can't test 5 feet of it at all.

If someone wants me to test something, send me 3 yards.

We printed 280 square feet of wrap vinyl for a box truck to test wrap tomorrow. So far the prints came out nice and shine. It was initially tested on a tape gun. It went well. Put on a 2002 Toyota Highlander panel, worked great. It gets the job done.

It isn't very sticky at first. After heat gun treated, it glues well. Will post a few photos.

Colorado Signs: We know you are the best of what you do in this subject. May we send you 3 yards for testing? Address please?

Dear Signs101 Members,

Most of the vinyl testers were delivered yesterday or today. Please help us out by putting these vinyl to test. Must heat gun to activate the glue. We put the vinyl and lamination on a box truck with rivets. The result came out great.

Got your latest batch of samples, thanks.

I'll test it out in the next couple of days and I'll post pics/feedback.

Just to confirm, that price ($550) is for 100' or 150' bundle?

That is 150' of both material delivered to your door. We have them in stock here in our S. CA office. Feel free to pick up as well.

Fieldcenter's Wrap Film Opinions

I printed the film on a JV3 160-SP with Durafos solvent inks @720x720 8 pass,bi

The vinyl printed great colors that was bright & vivid, the laminate was thicker but it went down like butter using the Big squeegee (I didn't want to reload my laminator) wish all laminates went on this easy.

First thing I tryed wraping was the hood of my car, everything was going good till I got a crease and used a touch on it, not only did the crease come out but also burned a hole into the film, at that time I stoped and removed the film. I was then told to use a heat gun instead. Next thing I tryed was a hellmet warp using a bucket. The vinyl does not like much heat it burned a hole thru the film almost instantly on low setting of my heat gun.

Then what I had left over I did a flat piece of aluminum and that went on without a hitch.

Overall, I wouldn't wrap a car with this film but I would use it to wrap a box truck or anything thats flat.

Pros
#1 Prints great
#2 Easy to laminate

Cons
#1 Doesn't like heat
#2 Doesn't stretch well
#3 Vinyl & lam to thick

Thanks to ChicagoGraphics. His feedback was sent to us via PM. I asked him to post openly here in the forum. The honest, the better so we can improve on our end.

So far, we have four confirmed users that liked our vinyl and lamination on box trucks. Not too much on vehicles because of the thick lamination film. We are matching a different lamination film with original vinyl to test on vehicles. I will be looking for a signs101 installer to test on our vinyl + new lamination film.

We sent out 20 vinyl testers. If any of you testers could give more feedbacks. We promise to give workable discount on these vinyls to the ones who participates helping us out finding the best solution for US market.

More inputs are welcome and appreciated.

Ran a some the other night that is some thick stuff. Mine took my heat gun just fine. Colors looked good as well I think this might be good for box trucks not so much for bumbers and fenders.
