I sure hope image #295 on the filterforge website
does not become a giraffe screwing a monkey
or some other crap like that (hotlinked) . . .
you know you want it to

...actually, links are within our new rules & if filterforge doesn't want dozens of potential customers being sent to their site, they can post porn over there... but it's still over there... on their site.

I do not no for a fact, and maybe someone else can confirm . . .

I've been told that Genetica can do that effect with seamless tile !

http://www.spiralgraphics.biz/gen2tour/index.htm

Yup ... I imagine that Genetica can do peeling paint. I'll look next time I'm on their site.

Genetica is the choice of Aurora Graphics for some of his tiles and an unnamed major player is currently developing seamless tiles with it as well. I decided on Filter Forge for several reasons after using trial versions of each:

  • Genetica has a 3000 x 3000 size limit. Filter Forge has a limit but its 2000% greater.
  • Genetica does not support anti aliasing above a 1500 x 1500 pixel rendering. Filter Forge does and also has higher levels of smoothing available.
  • Genetica's filters are all developed in-house. Filter Forge's filters are developed by hundreds of independent artists and there is a much greater diversity and quantity.

I for the life of me cannot see where you are getting crackled paint. I even drank a few cases of New Castle to help me but all I see is Puff! I never drink like I used to, but man-o-man have I got a good vibe flowing through me.

Since you brought attention to the picture, I knew something was different with it, so I looked for something different. The first thing I see is the "fake" effect of the puffy paint.

I can't get past all the butterflies. I don't even see any paint sticking or peeling.

I feel like I'm in a 'Superman' movie..... I can't see.....I can't see.....I can't see.....I can't see.....
