what is your favorite worst song lyric? mine is from "Maniac" and old song from the movie "Flash Dance"

She has danced into the danger zone
When the dancer becomes the dance

the danger zone when the dancer becomes the dance...anyone who has ever been to a wedding knows what that looks like...give uncle Carl a few beers and he dances like he's never danced before....

my girlfriend thought that in "Brass in Pocket" the line was " gonna use my my my virgination" when she was little ... i still dont know what the actual lyric is though haha

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
There's always the inimitable "pompitous of love" ['The Joker', Steve Miller] that no one on the planet understands.

Had an aunt who thought "eyes without a face" was "how's about a date"

*chuckles* not that Billy wouldn't sing that line LOL

I don't think anyone understands Steve Miller, he's crazy... I've purchased greatest hist 74-78 like a billion times (kept losing it)... one of my favorite albums ever.

I had a roommate who was the lead singer in a band. He's the first person that ever pointed out to me how ridiculous most song lyrics were. Most people, even people who know the lyrics, will sing the song and not really comprehend what they're saying.

Here's one that never made sense to me from the lyrical genius known as Vanilla Ice:
Alright Stop!
Collaborate and listen.
Ice is back with a brand new invention.

First of all what are we collaborating on and second this was the first single off his first album....exactly where is he "back" from?

The Vector Doctor

Chief Bezier Manipulator
Manfred Mann.... I always thought it was urly-burly gave my anus curly wurly, even though I knew it was wrong

But yeah, those are some funky lyrics

I look at the floor, and I see it needs sweeping.
Still my guitar gently weeps.

oh wait, you said nonsense lyrics... how about this then.

De do do do de da da da
Is all I want to say to you
De do do do de da da da
Their innocence will pull me through
De do do do de da da da
Is all I want to say to you
De do do do de da da da
They're meaningless and all that's true

The farmer in the dell,
The farmer in the dell,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The farmer in the dell.

The farmer takes a wife,
The farmer takes a wife,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The farmer takes a wife.

The wife takes a child,
The wife takes a child,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The wife takes a child.

The child takes a nurse,
The child takes a nurse,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The child takes a nurse.

The nurse takes the cow,
The nurse takes the cow,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The nurse takes the cow.

The cow takes a dog,
The cow takes a dog,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The cow takes a dog.

The dog takes a cat,
The dog takes a cat,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The dog takes a cat.

The cat takes a rat,
The cat takes a rat,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The cat takes a rat.

The rat takes the cheese,
The rat takes the cheese,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The rat takes the cheese.

The cheese stands alone,
The cheese stands alone,
Hi-ho, the derry-o,
The cheese stands alone.

THIS......
we teach our children.... at an early age on purpose. It's not just a song they heard on the radio or at school. This is a desired goal.

Bruce Springsteen sings something that the chorus sounds like "tent devil on the freeway". I'd love to know what the heck he's going on about. I can't understand any other parts of the song either.

Found it....Tenth avenue freeze out. I'm no further ahead......

Hatty told Matty, "Let's don't take no chance.
Let's not be L-seven, come and learn to dance."

Ever since I was a kid this line from Sam the Sham and the Pharos "Wooly Bully" has bugged me. What the hell is L-7?
