Not sure what we're doing this year. My wife is very sick and this was always something we did together. I might just do a few things and hope for the best.

He emigrated, to Canada studied at Queens University for two years then transferring to Uni. of Pennisylvania, The Wharton Business school.
His mom, May applied for US citizenship and waited 12 years.

I'm sorry to hear that. I remember she was sick last year. It's always more fun when there's someone to enjoy the garden with. Sending best wishes to her and a fruitful garden, if only a few things!

Regarding Gene Hackman, I think the "Hollywood Whackers" are responsible. Actually, if the recent suggestions are true this is a pretty sad affair.

I saw on the news this morning that he was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, and he may not have been aware that his wife had passed a week ago.
What about the dog? I haven't heard anything about the dog.

That's exactly what I was thinking also. I'm guessing the dog starved to death? Such a sad situation all around. If he saw her on the ground, he may have known for a few seconds but then turned around and forgotten what he had seen and became confused. I certainly hope he didn't have to relive seeing her on the ground over and over. I'm sure the family didn't expect her to pass first as she was quite a bit younger. So sad.

OR, maybe they were killed...but this time I'm not jumping on the conspiracy theory wagon LOL

She died from a virus, and Hackman died from heart failure. I don't think anyone whacked them.

This shit pisses me off. Without getting into politics or US vs Canada arguments - this new trend of Canadian companies slashing 25% off of our sell price to compensate for these ridiculous tariffs? No thanks.

I've seen a few companies come up with similar policies and it makes me cringe. You're basically saying, we make so much money off you that we can slash 1/4 off our price just to keep you happy. Either that or you're so desperate for business you'll sell at a loss to keep the sale.

Either way, not a good look.

The other one I saw was for a high end custom award/trophy company in Canada, claiming "tariff relief discount" or some nonsense....really devaluates your high end/high perceived value product when you suddenly say you'll knock off 25% just because of some bullshit tariffs.


<End rant> Carry on with the conspiracy theories about Gene Hackman's dog.
