Seems like 99% of products you guys import now has a tarrif.... So I imagine you're going to see pricing increase on almost everything by quite a bit.

I've been told 3m vinyl is going up in price... Even though Canada is "exempt" from the new round of tarrifs, a lot of the raw materials used to isn't sourced in USA. It's not a huge 25% price, and 3m is calling it good news since it isn't a 25% on everything tarrif.... But stuff will cost 3m USA more to produce, therefore the prices are going up regardless.

Will be interesting to see how much stuff goes up.. and I bet it'll never come back down., even after tarrifs are removed.

3M only made a little more than 10 billion in profits last year; surely, you don't expect them to make only 9.75 billion this year. Now that the EPA is being dismantled maybe someone will build a factory to refine petrochemicals. The Great Lakes are almost clean, time to pollute em up again.

So can we really blame 3m for raising their prices when it costs them more as well?

That's the thing.... A lot of people expect the companies to pay the tarrifs, which in return makes it cheaper to produce in America, and it's supposed to bring jobs back to America.... But no matter what the situation is, the companies have to pay more - and they won't be eating that cost.... If anyone on here thinks 3m,.or any company effected by tarrifs should eat the cost, it's a bit hippocritical.


Now if your ok with paying more because it means more jobs coming back to America.... That I get and understand. I've been trying to buy Canadian ever since these tarrifs happened, stuff probably costs 5-10% more on average, and I'm ok with that.
