Hi everybody

I was just looking to see if anyone on the forum had one of these machines for parts and was willing to sell me a working mainboard. Long story short a employee was trying too prevent a machine crash on the plotter and tried pulling the vinyl out leading to a overcurrent and blowing the driver up this was a few months back we have since upgraded to a hp 64 plus but would like to get this unit running again for a backup or the days we have increased work load.

PS thank you everybody for the endless knowledge provided on this forum, it has been a life saver at times.

Yeah went that route with replacement from digi key about 5$ cad, unfortunately my attempts to solder a new were unsuccessful. And believe me when I say I tried, have you replaced such a chip before Attila?

Kudos on your soldering, are you open to taking on such a repair or know anyone on here offering such a service? Really wished these boards had socketed drivers, but this would probably destroy market for such overpriced replacements though.

Could you recommend me a good site to find this board, all I seem to be able to find is sold from Europe.

LCD and touch Screen are the weak part of S1. Summa only sells color S2 displays now, and for that need a S2 motherboard. Leaves S1 boards as spare. Should have spare S1 boards hanging around because of that, on the market. Good luck to find one. I am not in the US, cannot help with services.

Don't mix it up... He wants S One not S-class.

Airmark sells em.
