Ok, so I downloaded, or tried to download the VW 5 file as provided but it asked for a disk. should I install my 4.0 disk at that point?
So I installed VW 5 on my win 7 os and its asking for to start burning the disc...what do I do?Download for VW 5 with the updater to 5.5.1 - SP300V should run on 4, but runs better on 5.5.1![]()
You can Burn it to a DVD if you want or just open and extract the ISO file with 7zip or any software can manage ISO files. So I installed VW 5 on my win 7 os and its asking for to start burning the disc...what do I do?
Use an extractor program like winzip to unpack the iso file onto your computer, then just run the setup from there. An ISO file is a disk image, but you don't need to actually burn a DVD for itSo I installed VW 5 on my win 7 os and its asking for to start burning the disc...what do I do?
IN WINDOWS 10 you can “mount” an iso file. Which means you can use it as though it already on a dvd and inserted in a dvd drive. If you have a windows 10 computer you can burn the iso to a dvd. Then take the disk, browse to it and complete the process. So I installed VW 5 on my win 7 os and its asking for to start burning the disc...what do I do?
I clicke on that file in your email thread. And downloaded it from media fire. I opend the download file and upload the Roland VWmsi file. When I clicked on the newly uploaded icon, it said the application is not installed properly. I repeated the process with the same result. It also said he profiles for CMYK failed to load. I'm fried from trying to figure this all out. Thank you for your help!Download for VW 5 with the updater to 5.5.1 - SP300V should run on 4, but runs better on 5.5.1![]()
You just need to unpack the file using a program like winzp. Unpack it to a new folder on your pc and then use the steup.exe file inside that folder to fully install versaworks. It sounds like you haven't installed it but are just trying to run it from the compressed file. It needs to be installed onto your PC not just copied on thereI clicke on that file in your email thread. And downloaded it from media fire. Since he got a refurbished windows 7 pc, I wonder if he needs internet to download runtimes, Java or .net framework? There is a hell of a lot of difference depending on what version & flavor the master image is.No, just the desktop icon isn't installing it. Make a new folder called Versaworks and extract the ISO file to there. You should end up with a list of folders and files as shown on the attached pic.
You will see a file called SETUP.EXE - use this to install it and it will take you through the installation process, which should take a few minutes as the program is quite large.
What does ISO stand for?No, just the desktop icon isn't installing it. Make a new folder called Versaworks and extract the ISO file to there. You should end up with a list of folders and files as shown on the attached pic.

The disk image file. Maybe that’s not what he sent. I am on an ipadWhat does ISO stand for?
He shouldnt need to. The ISO file is just a compressed version of the standard installation disk ready to burn. When extracted it is exactly the same as the normal installation disk and will run from the setup file.Since he got a refurbished windows 7 pc, I wonder if he needs internet to download runtimes, Java or .net framework? So before we go any further here is my setup.
To my left is my gateway with windows 8.1
To my right the newish Dell Windows 7 tower from NewEgg.
The Dell tower came with this tiny jump drive to make it wireless, it sees my router upstairs but I can not get onto the internet for whatever reason.
Sooooo I thought lets try downloading to the Windows 8 tower and follow your directions.
I am soo close to getting these kinks worked out, thanks to All of you!
I think the folder part is confusing me. Make a folder from what and put it where?
Also, I uninstalled the program, ready to reinstall.
I know.He shouldnt need to. The ISO file is just a compressed version of the standard installation disk ready to burn. When extracted it is exactly the same as the normal installation disk and will run from the setup file.
