Go into the cut/plot screen inside Flexi. Go to the advanced tab and click the edit button I believe at the bottom right. Change the setting to NONE. Your software is over riding all the settings you are changing inside of your cutter.

This would be the best option. If you don't want to add a card and want to try a USB serial Adapter only buy the Keyspan adapter part # USA-19HS. This adapter seems to be the one that works best with plotters and computers. Good Luck.

You can also reset the plotter to factory default by holding arrow up button while turning off and on. This clears all settings to the day you unboxed the machine.
