We looked as Esko's lower end machine and went with Colex. Still happy with it for most part. Helps that Colex is here in NJ for any service...makes things much easier.

I know....we had this problem multiple times over the few years we have owned this now. Figure the Cat5/6 will be good to go for a while. I can even order one to have on hand if this goes awry in the future.

Correct on the USB cable length. 16'5". We had to put a USB powered hub attached to the computer in order to help power the line....

Colex is good...make sure you put it thru its paces when you get it in. EVERYTHING in working order before the warranty expires....

Thanks Bruce...but the camera isnt the issue. We documented how many times the cam froze on an x & z axis movement. It was directly related to the electrical current running through those wires to the appropriate motors. We were able to trace the USB cord and figure out exactly where the close...

Image white image is something we do often here. Print on optically clear removable and its a done deal. Pillow cut is usually the best solution.

Good wire cutters will get thru them.

We deal with Colex directly and they are at least sending me the new shielded camera wire. It came down to the electrical current nearby on the power wires screwing with the USB cable signal for the camera. They never had a very good shielded wire for either use. According to them, this...

We offer luster lam on most of our backlit prints. If the client wants matte, we of course are able to do that as well. The luster is a nice in-between and I believe it enhances the backlit some over dead flat matte. We use Briteline UV at about 120-125° on our laminator.
