  1. Question Alternatives to Avery 2611 (Wall Vinyl)

We use QMLS Duravinyl variation more than Seal and its a great substrate. We have never had a complaint for short term use at events or for short term murals. The natural air egress of the dot pattern makes install very easy.
  2. Need Help no ink flow after replacing dampers - roland vs540i

Pump at this point is the only other thing I can come up with. Heavy cleaning didn't produce any results? What about capping the printheads and drawing with the syringe thru the capping station tube. That usually gets ink out through the printhead itself.
  3. Question Alternatives to Avery 2611 (Wall Vinyl)

3m 40 C for permanent murals and such. Looking for low tac removable or short-moderate term, go with a Microdot product. QMLS Duravinyl 157. There are a few other manufacturers of that substrate as well. SEAL being one I believe.
  4. Need Help no ink flow after replacing dampers - roland vs540i

Is the ink supply tube empty? If so...use a syringe to draw the ink through to the damper
  5. GF 231 and Briteline OL331 Laminate Shrinking?

We dont use duration x at all. Avery 2923 or 2921 & IJ35. The Briteline shield lam is fine.
  6. Cutter registration marks on clear material

We leave ours on when cutting. Doesnt interfere with the blade or anything.
  7. Pole Banner Finishing

Got it...sounds like you have that worked out well. The tape helps keep things aligned before and during sewing. Had too many issues where a banner comes out of the sewing machine cockeyed and not straight.
  8. Pole Banner Finishing

HH66 is a bit sloppy unless you have a great method to keep the glue where its supposed to be. We will usually DF tape before sewing. Our boulevard banners if we do them "bulletproof" get heat sealed hems and then doubled over. Street banners are similar but true 4/4 printing on those with...
  9. Pole Banner Finishing

Been doing this a long time....I still stitch. We havent/don't lose any with wind or storms that way. Always nice to have a client call us and say they had zero issues during a storm with our banners for their clients!
  10. Pre-press Fonts to Curves/Outlines Suggestions

Its both. People just rushing thru the process to submit make the mistake...both newbs and seasoned professionals. I prefer to have bleed especially when trimming stuff. We can always crop out the excess. Its easier to remove than try and add in 99% of cases.
  11. Cutter registration marks on clear material

We always use the white underlay strip.
  12. Pre-press Fonts to Curves/Outlines Suggestions

We run into this same issue quite often when having to set up custom cutouts and such. Checking files for PMS colors or a client doesn't do that and we are forced to make adjustments to color. Its usually poor file prep on the client end. I always tell our clients to be sure to outline fonts...
  13. Cutting 1" Ultraboard CNC router

Do you have multiple copies of the same shape there?
  14. Floor Graphics - MacTac MDot - no lam needed?

No lam needed...but short term only.
  15. Any UV Equipment out of Warranty?

$8k yr is cheap in comparison to other companies. That include parts or just phone support?
  16. Any UV Equipment out of Warranty?

    Out of warranty...yes. Unsupported....no.
  17. Art Elements Disappear in RIP

Welcome. Hope it works out. Illustrator transparency and RIP software can be iffy at times.
  18. Oh man, banner scam again

Yea....just a waste of time all around. Years ago I had a client fall for it. We agreed that They paid the cost of the banners at least on my end but it was a costly error on their part for falling for the scam.
  19. Art Elements Disappear in RIP

Illustrator transparency is screwing you up. Set the transparency to High Res. If that doesn't work, likely have to rasterize.
  20. 1324x - channel of yellow drops on long prints

    Air in the line possibly.
